My Life in Pictures: Something I do each day

Everything Except The Grill is having a photo challenge that is really interesting. You should head over to her blog and take part in whatever way moves you.

I've decided to do today's title: "Something I do each day"

This is actually my backyard that looks like my front yard. We get the most amazing sunrises here and the sun sets in the front. I love seeing this gift from God for me each day. It makes you think and it never fails to remind me to thank God for all his provisions.
Everything lights up with this amazing hue of the sun coming up. Inside the house has the most wonderful gold streaks through the window slats.

Every so often, I wake my 3 year old up to watch the sunset with me...that is after we talk about if he wants to watch it from the night before.

It is a great way to begin my day.

  9. Love your trees.

What time does the sun come up where you live?

(Here in Alaska the time changes daily. Sometimes significantly. I just put the kids down and the sun is still higher than the houses across the street.)

  12. This picture reminded me of my favorite Bible verse, Lamentations 3:22-23, "The Lord's unfailing love and mercy still continue, fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise."

  19. That is REALLY beautiful! I mean, really. The last year or two I too get up every morning before the sun. I SO enjoy watching the sun come up. Every new day. Every beautiful color. And it's funny...the colors only really last a few minutes but they are SO spectacular! Beautiful post.

  22. I saw this post yesterday and meant to comment then, but was distracted by someone who was looking for his cell phone!

Anyway, that is such a beautiful scene, and I really wish I had a nice view of either sunrise or sunset. We live in town, so most of our views include nearby houses. I long for a place in the country to enjoy views like this. Lucky duck!

  23. That is truly beautiful. Very peaceful. I'm actually in the market for a good camera for a beginner. Nothing more than $200. Have any recommendations? Love to hear them.
