Monday Mingle: 9/28/09 - Lifestory tidbits

Apparently I missed one of the questions so I'll answer here: My husband proposed to me over the phone. I was in my country and he was in his. He called me up and proposed! Then when we met again, he proposed by my prompting I think, as he thought he did it once and didn't need to again. But that was over the phone! :)

If you'd like to join in the fun, do a short vlog on your blog, post the above button on your site and link up on the linky at Eighty MPH Mom. Visit the other participants, learn about them and have fun! Trust me, if I can do it, then you can. Look down there at the amateur :) Come on jump in!

These are the questions for this week:1. If you could live in any state in the U.S., which would you choose?

2. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

3. Have you been to a high school reunion? If not, why not?

4. How did your spouse propose to you?

5. Did you have any childhood nicknames?

6. Are there any questions you have for my daughter? She would love to hear your questions and answer them on next week's Monday Mingle!

Next week's questions:

1. What would you think about having our spouses vlog with us one week? Would yours make a cameo appearance?

2. Do you have pets? Tell us about them!

3. What are your favorite sayings or movie quotes?

4. What is your favorite kind of music? Favorites bands/artists and songs? Best concert you ever attended?

5. What are your favorite drinks (alcohol or non)?

I feel like I get to see every room in your house at this point. I love it! I want to see the kitchen or your bedroom next.

A diplomat, how cool is that job?!

Mrs. Fish aka Two Fish September 28, 2009 9:46 AM

I love that you did it in the bathroom!! I love the bathroom and your bath-tub!

Oh Hawaii!! Who wouldn't love to live in Hawaii and the hunting in Alaska how awesome.

Oh the stigma and names with glasses, kids are so mean they are awful!! You are beautiful lady with and without your glasses, you are just wonderful. Sending lots of hugs and kisses to you!

Ooh Alaska! That'd be cool, I'd have to visit first to be certain.

A diplomat or a diplomat's wife...that would be great!

Kid's with glasses have it rough, that's for sure. :(

I'm interested to hearing SpeedyGirl's answer.

Always a pleasure mingling :)

Hello! Your bathroom is gorgeous! I too would love to see the rest of your house LOL. You are such a sweetheart - wherever you vlog from.

Kids can be so mean ... I am sorry.

Hawaii would be a super place too - I should have said that! Alaska? Not so much - for me anyway.

Thanks for mingling again and thanks for the question for my daughter - that was an excellent question!

You know, things that happen in childhood definitely stick with us through our lifetimes! I wish it wasn't that way.

LOL that this is in your bathroom!

I LOVE your bathroom! I need a tub like that! =)
A diplomat would be a cool job! That's awesome that you thought of that as a kid. I don't know many kids who aspire that high!
We honeymooned in Hawaii and I loved it there! If my family were there, I'd love to live there. But I'm a huge family girl and couldn't bear to be away from them, so AZ is where I'll stay, and just dream of vacationing again in Hawaii or Alaska!

hmmm...the video is hung up after the diplomat part; That is a great aspiration. And, I did not picture you hunting and fishing - you are full of surprises :D

My question for your daughter would be what is the activity she enjoys doing most together with you.

JamericanSpice September 29, 2009 10:24 PM

Carma,
I have no idea what is happening with the video. I guess sometimes that happen huh. And always before it gets to the good part.

I actually love fishing. Hunting not so much. I guess I haven't been on an official bear hunting trip...eeeeek bear!
so many things are so new to me that it's so great to get an experience or learn.

My daughter is 2 and we enjoy cuddling alot :) Other than that we love to do anything with markers and crayons together and also dancing.

Are you thinking of joining in on the vlog fun? It would be nice :)

JamericanSpice September 30, 2009 12:14 AM

Thank you Alesha :).

After I did the video and saw the empty space above the tub, I have desires of putting a poster or some sort of photos above it. I want to paint it turqoise blue, but the $$ isn't there and the husband isn't gungho about painting. I would do it by myself though if I we had the moola.

Gosh Hawaii!! So gorgeous huh?

I appreciate your thoughts - Colette
