Aloha Friday: Fingers dance

My Question:

How/where did you learn to type?
******************************************

At the orphanage we had teachers/staff who'd teach and that's how I learned. I remember how excited I was when they set up the old computers for us to bang away at. I was very good too. It was just setting my hands the right way that took some getting used to, and they hurt! It was great to seeing myself go from 30wpm to 60wpm etc etc.

Kailani says "In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response."

For fun I used to sit and type at work with my grandparents and father. When we bought our first computer I asked for a typing game to increase my speed.

I don't type properly but I type as quickly as everyone else so I don't worry about it.

I learned in High School in a typing class, although I actually taught myself the basics well before that.

I remember taking a computer class in middle school, but all I remember is OREGON TRAIL!

In high school. My dad insisted on the class because he said it would always come in handy. And sure enough I ended up spending years as a legal secretary. Not the most fun job, but the typing did come in handy!

I learned to type in high school in a typing class. I remember the teacher being sooooo serious and conservative!

I learned in high school (typing class). I'm still not great at it. I'm really hoping that my kids learn earlier.
