Christmas meme: Getting to know you

I was tagged by Night Owl Mama in this fun get to know you meme, so here I go!

1. Have you started your Christmas shopping?

I don't do Christmas shopping. We don't that the $$ to do this. I always feel so awful that I can't purchase gifts for family each year. It's  paycheck to paycheck for us. I did read about this great idea on gifts that I'll try to implement soon. It's about purchasing gifts for different family members when you can, throughout the year. That way you aren't overwhelmed at the end of the year or on special holidays etc. 

2. Tell me about one of your special traditions.

We don't really have a set tradition just yet. We do dinner and pray and open gifts and watch a movie or two and then have some dessert.

3. When do you put up your Tree?

We usually put this up sometime after Thanksgiving or the first week of December. Sadly we don't yet have ours up, but I'm thinking I'll just go ahead and do it myself if it's not done tonight.

4. Are you a Black Friday shopper?

No. This year was my first time going and I went at around mid day. I didn't want to deal with the crowds. And I saw a few toys that were really great deals and thought I'd get them for my children as gifts and so that's what I did. 

I did see the Leapfrog clickstart my first computer on a pretty good sale, but by the time I got there, it was gone. I really wanted one of those for my kids. 

5. Do you Travel at Christmas or Stay home?

Sometimes when we can afford it, we'd go visit my mother and father in law in Arizona. That's like almost two days drive to get there! We love taking road trips though! My son still have not forgotten playing in the snow while we were there. 

All our family lives 3 or more days away or long flights.

6. What is your funniest Christmas memory?

I can't really remember a Christmas funny......

7. What is your favorite Christmas Movie of All time?

It's a wonderful life... It's a great movie for anytime really, but I love it then.

8. Do you do your own Christmas Baking, what’s your favorite treat?

I haven't been baking much, but I will start to do it more as the kids get older. For now I love making brownies. I'm dying to make a pecan pie! 

9. Fake or Real Tree?

Fake. It serves longer. Shoot I might not even have to string up lights! :) I love the real ones, but I'll wait to visit family with the real ones and then I go home :)

10. What day (as a Mom) does the actual panic set in to get it all done?

Panic? What panic? Oh the thing that makes me run around chasing my own tail , which no one told me I didn't have, while screaming etc etc etc? Those happen every day actually. 

11. Are you still wrapping presents on Christmas Eve?

I am supposed to? Well I guess I should get on it then huh. *grumble* I thought that was the elves job!

12. What is your favorite family fun time at Christmas?

Driving out together. Not doing anything, but just driving and enjoying the scenery. Or cuddling up with a movie and hot chocolate.

13. What Christmas craft do you like the best?

Huh? I think I like them all! 

14. Christmas music. Yes or No, and if yes What is your favorite song?

Yes I like Christmas music and no I don't have a favorite. I love too many varieties of music to have a favorite.

15. When do you plan to finish all your shopping?

I only buy grocery, so I'm due again soon......
