The Princess and the Frog: I want to watch this movie!

The first time I saw the advertisement for The Princess and The Frog, I didn't really pay any mind to it. But then I kept seeing it and realize that it wasn't just another rinky dinky play. So now I really want to go watch it. I might just have to go on my own since the hubs don't really have time or show much interests in theatres. We are more netflix people or library movies.

I will have to take my two children with me. I hope it's kids friendly or I wont be able to go. Any tips would be great from others who have seen it already.

I mean, how many times do you get to see a movie like this?!  (Yes I have read the book and all from years ago, but this movie...)

Some information about the movie:

Walt Disney Animation Studios presents the musical THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG, an animated comedy set in the great city of New Orleans. From the creators of "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin" comes a modern twist on a classic tale, featuring a beautiful girl named Tiana (ANIKA NONI ROSE), a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again, and a fateful kiss that leads them both on a hilarious adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana.

  1. I took my 64 yr old mother & 16 yr old daughter to see it last weekend. We all loved it. I especially liked Ray, the Cajun firefly. It's extremely kid & adult friendly.

  3. My 4YO and I went earlier this month. The movie kept her interest (though we had read the corresponding Little Golden tie-in book beforehand). It is a little heavy with the evil voodoo magic, but I had prepared my daughter beforehand so she really didn't seem at all scared. Her favorite character was Tiana. We LOVED the music!
