I have been offered the chance to do a giveaway from EcoSMART to one of you my readers. I jumped at the chance because I love giving away stuff!
I love products that are safe around my family. I try hard not to use products around my house that I know are made with ingredients that can have negative effects in the human body. I'm glad there are companies like EcoSMART who are working hard to make products that are environmentally safe and family friendly.
Here are some information about the company:
EcoSMART was the first company to apply modern science to essential plant oils — creating the first 100% safe pesticides.Head over to EcoSMART and be sure to check out their insect repellent and organic pesticides.
EcoSMART is based on solid science
University research has shown that these oils attack octopamine neuro-receptors. Octopamine is a key insect neurotransmitter that regulates insect movement, behavior and metabolism. The blockage of the receptor activity prevents the transmission of the octopamine signals, which delivers quick knock down, kill and repellency against a wide variety of household pests such as cockroaches, ants, dust mites, flies, wasps, spiders, crickets, and fleas. Our blends of natural plant oils are every bit as effective as synthetic chemicals, killing bugs fast without any toxins or harmful residues.
Safe around children, pets, and the environment
Since EcoSMART’s proprietary botanical oil blends attack attributes that are specific only to pests, they have no effect on people, pets or the environment. The primary active ingredients in EcoSMART products are approved as Direct Food Additives or classified as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. These oils are commonly used to add flavor and aroma to many cosmetic, beverage and food products, including cake, candy, sweetener, gum, soft drinks, and lipstick. Children and pets are safe. No need to clear them out after application or be concerned if they are near our products. Our products have no adverse effect on mammals, birds, and fish and also will not contaminate water sources.
EcoSMART is offering one of my readers a Safe Peronsal Care Value Bundle!

What great products! We get ants sometimes in the spring, and usually just get ant traps from the drugstore. It would be great to try a safer product!

I love EcoSmart!! Stopping by from SITS.
ReplyDeleteKeep posting stuff like this i really like it
ReplyDeleteI use traps. fly traps and ant traps. We have a farm and have high fly populations sometimes and I don't like using chemicals around my family or animals. We have used vinegar as a fly repellent on ourselves and animals, sometimes it works great

I hate using harsh chemicals to get rid of bugs. I've tried tons of home remedies that don't always work. I have found a trick my grandma told me for ants. If you draw a chalkline around your entire foundation, leaving no gaps, it'll keep ants out. Ants apparently don't like the feel of chalk on their feet and bodies so believe it or not, it actually works! I also put a little peppermint essential oil on a cotton ball and keep it in my cupboards to keep ants away. And a trick the sort of works, is the keep a dryer sheet in your shirt pocket in the summer time to keep mosquitos away!

ReplyDeleteOur biggest problem here is fire ants - I think instead of foothills they are actually giant ant hills here in B'ham. They recommend pouring salt on the ant hills and I am so going to try this once it warms back up enough for the ants to come out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance :)
