Monday Mingle and Care.com Valentines Day Giveaway Contest

If you'd like to join in the fun, do a short vlog on your blog answering the week's questions (however many you choose), post the above button on your site and link up at Eighty MPH Mom. Visit the other participants, learn about them and have fun! Trust me, if I can do it, then you can.  Plus you can send in your questions to Jennifer for the next mingle via the form on her site. Come on jump in!

(I'm having trouble uploading my video. Been trying since 1pm so I'll just go ahead and write up my answers again) Oy! Nothing works, motionbox, vimeo, youtube. bah

1. Would you accept an invitation to do a survivor show? What would you hate most about being on the show?

Ans: I definitely would. It's a challenge and something adventurous. Of course I'm all over it! I don't even care if I get booted off in the first round.

b. I'd hate if I had to eat bugs. They would probably use that against me as I probably wouldn't eat them.

2.  When/how did you learn to ride a bicycle?

Ans: I still don't know how to ride a bicycle. When I was a kid, someone tried to teach me and sent me down a hill and I guess I suppressed that memory because I don't know what happen next but I never went on a bicycle again until I was an adult. I will learn and I will buy myself a bike.

3. What do you want to have accomplished (personally) in your lifetime?

I want to be a children advocate and psychologist. I also want to adopt children into my family and I just hope to work in helping children in whatever area I can. I would even love to open a children home for homeless kids and hire people who would care for these children in providing more than just a bed and food. Children need so much more to be able to live successful lives as adults. They are really our future and we should work to give them the best skills to carry on.

This week's questions (submitted by Colette from Jamerican Spice - thank you!):
1. Would you accept an invitation to do a survivor show? What would you hate most about being on the show?
2. When/how did you learn to ride a bicycle?
3. What do you want to have accomplished (personally) in your lifetime?

Thank you for visiting with me. I am off to scream my head off with the SAINTS playing football. Please take a moment to enter my giveaways on the side bar and also this exciting Valentines giveaway below.

Have a fabulous week!
Ciao!

Next week's questions are submitted by Amy from Mevolving...thanks Amy!

1. If you could be any literary / movie character who would it be and why?
2. What is your biggest phobia?
3. Do you have any pets? What are they and what are their names?

Wow! I'm glad you finally got your video to upload. It literally took youtube FOREVER to upload mine. Grrr.

Any-hoo, Cool about the Survivor thing. I don't think i would like to eat bugs either. EW.

You wanna be a physologist before you have lived out your life?
Thats cool. The classes you have to take for that are really fascinating!

Talk to you later!

Bugs, ick. LOL

You're such a beautiful shining light, Callie. I could see you as a child's psychologist for sure.

Madhatter Mom January 25, 2010 11:30 AM

Wow! You are the adventurous one! I would love to visit some of the places they film the show but I don't think I could do it.

Adoption is a true showing of selflessness. I am in awe of those that do it so kudo's to you!

See you next week!

Mevolving January 25, 2010 1:47 PM

I LOVED your questions this week even though I didn't remember learning to ride my bike :D

I'd love to watch you on Survivor, I'd be cheering you on the whole way! I wouldn't go for it though, I'm not about to eat anything remotely wild LOL

I think it's awesome that you still want to ride a bike! I say go for it! My mom never learned how and is now terrified of learning!

I think you are absolutely AMAZING for wanting to open your home for homeless children and children in need, it is such an important thing to do and I think you're a great person to do it. So much love to give!

Have a wonderful Monday dear and I hope to see you again next week!

Nicole January 25, 2010 4:47 PM

Hooray for another person who would go for it and be on Survivor with me. I totally with you on eating the bugs though . . . gross!

If you watch my Mingle, I talk a bit about where my hubby and I are at in terms of our international adoption. It's definitely a roller-coaster emotionally, but I hold on to hope that one day I'll be holding a beautiful baby girl. Thankfully, I've been blessed with two energetic little boys who keep me busy while we're waiting for our proposal!

Have a great week :-)

Cheryl January 25, 2010 7:36 PM

Great questions this week! Wow...you are such a beautiful person, inside and out. Such an inspiration! So happy to get to know you! Happy Monday!

Jennifer-Eighty MPH Mom January 25, 2010 10:48 PM

I agree with everyone above - you are truly an amazing woman. I admire you so very much!

You really would be on Survivor?? Wow that surprises me LOL. They would kick me off in a big hurry!

Thanks for mingling again!

Susan (5 Minutes For Mom) January 26, 2010 2:03 AM

I love these questions!

That is awesome that you would go on Survivor if you could... I NEVER could do it. I have no stamina and I'm a complete WIMP.

What wonderful goals... I hope you reach them.

Badger Momma January 26, 2010 6:09 PM

Yay - Child's advocate! I could seriously see you doing that or adopting lots of little ones.

In fact, when you do, you can teach yourself to ride a bike while you're teaching them. Or they can teach you! Whichever comes first. :)

Glad to see your smiling face again, Callie. :)

Hi, Callie's son! *wave*

Football? What is this football of which you speak? Football in this house means British Premiere League. :)

Kathleen W. January 28, 2010 7:03 PM

I love that photo of you all--you are so photogenic!

I wouldn't mind eating bugs, to tell you the truth. Well, not those huge ones, but a cricket or something.

Jendi January 28, 2010 8:27 PM

It seems like more people would go on the show if there weren't any bugs. :)

You should learn to ride a bike! If you're brave enough to go on Survivor - you're brave enough to ride bike. I love to do it with my kids even if's only going around a empty parking lot.

P.S. Love the first picture with you and the kids!
