*I'll add my video when it's done uploading. My answers are written out below*
THIS WEEK'S QUESTIONS:
1. Do you like to garden? What are your favorite flowers?
I love the idea of garden but have not done it before. I intend to do so this year. I can at least try. I don't really know many flowers by name but surely love the colors of Perry Morse and Chrysanthemums. Am I late for Spring? I start inside because outside is freezing.
2. Faves: Coke or Pepsi? Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate? Coffee or Tea?
I don't drink Pepsi or coke. I am a water girl.
I will take Milk Chocolates thank you. Of course Dark Chocolate is very good for you because of the health benefits of the flavanoids, but it taste bitter, so if anyone knows of a good dark chocolate, do let me know.
3. What nationality(s) are you? Or what is the primary one?
I am from the Caribbean isle of Jamaica. I am a Jamaican. However I'm now a US citizen by naturalization. Dual? not sure if that works anymore when you swear allegiance to another country. So I'm American.
4. Do you watch the Winter Olympics? What is your favorite sport?
Yes. Yes. Yes! And I loved it. I watched all the sporting events and the only one that still befuddles me is Curling. Can someone explain this one to me?
I even watched Hockey!!!!
I'm not sure I had /have a favorite. I like all the events ...Especially cheering for Apolo Ohno in speed skating. He is so good at what he does! Whew!
I'll try to be on top of visiting this week. Looking forward to catching up.
Have a great week!
Next week's questions:
1. Do your kids have chores? Do you pay them to do chores?
2. Were you in Girl Scouts/Brownies or Boy Scouts? Are your kids? Favorite Girl Scout Cookie?
3. Does your family go camping? If so, do you have a funny/interesting experience? Ciao!

I'm with you on the curling thing. I don't agree it is a sport. Bizarre! Hockey was awesome...I screamed and yelled like a beer bellied crazy, face painter. Holly
ReplyDeleteI agree! Curling is odd.
ReplyDeleteI agree water is so great for you.
It's so great to see your beautiful face again.
Darling, I really want to thank you ,
ReplyDeletefrom the very bottom of my heart,
for coming over to wish William for his birthday tribute.
He was so thrilled and this cannot be done without YOU!
You ROCK!
Have you a great week.
hugs
shakira
Our goal is to start a garden this year in order to save money and know what we are eating. I know it is going to be a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteAwesome mingle. So what do you think of daily motion motion box to upload your videos to? You tube can be so SLOW.
ReplyDeleteEEK.
I'm a dark chocolate girl but I do like milk chocolate.
Jamaica mon! Awesome. I love your accent.
And your header like I said take me back to my happy place. I would like to visit that place someday. Ahh.
have a great week!
Well, it sure is good to see the girl behind he words. Hi there, and happy to meet ya! Water girl? Oh yes, me too, but I like diet pepsi once in a while. I don't do sports. We're more into music around here. Wonder if that'll ever go to the Olympics??? LOL Anyway as far as nationality I thought that is where your ancestors hail from? You know, your blood. My Mom was full blooded Sicilian, and my dad was German, English, Danish & a touch of Cherokee, but yes, I'm all American born and bred. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI always love your mingles Colette!!
ReplyDeleteI've gone curling a couple times (years ago now) and it's okay when you are actually doing it, but I honestly can say it's likely my least favourite Olympic sport to watch!
When I hear nationality, I think American, Canadian, etc. Ethnicity would be the word I'd use to describe my family background.
Have a wonderful week, again LOVE checking in here as often as I can :-)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of a garden too! We don't have a garden here though but once we move I am for sure going to start my own garden!
ReplyDeleteI drink TONS of water too! I'll take all chocolates though LOL
I love that you said you're Jamaican and American :) I'm not naturalized so I'm just British but I think it's so awesome that you recognized being American when so many Americans fail to recognize it themselves.
I don't watch sports so I skipped the Winter Olympics but I think it's awesome that you watch them all!
Funny about the curling. What I think is especially odd is that we can go four years without ever hearing about curling and then everyone is watching and talking about it. LOL
ReplyDeletei didn't watch much of the Olympics this year b/c I was away a bunch.
Btw, I love your accent!

Okay, Callie, your son is HYSTERICAL! He's just a little showman! He's going to go into acting, I just know it. lol
ReplyDeleteGardening. Would love a beautiful garden. I just suck at it. hehe
You need to teach me how to drink water. I can't stand the stuff. I need to have flavor in it, I really do.
I think the citizenship would make you Jamaican-American. I think that's how it works. I believe they put the country where you're from in front of the American part. I think they do this to indicate that although you were from some place else, and have an accent (in the case of some folks), you are now an American citizen. Not sure, but I think so.
Haha! Curling! Yeah. I think the object of the game is that whoever is left standing and AWAKE at the end WINS! Yay!!! *snarf*
So nice to see you again, my friend. :)
What a great Mingle Callie, your son had me giggling the entire time. Kids!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for not drinking pop, I crave the stuff sometimes and that's not good!
You know, I'm in Canada and I don't understand nor like Curling - you are not alone!
See ya next week!
Tammi
I think it's my first time visiting your Monday Mingle-You are so lovely(and the little man running around in the background is adorable and such a ham)!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for drinking water!! Pop is SO bad for you >.<
It's very interesting to hear about your heritage/background :)
Your music is totally relaxing me right about now. LOL
Have a wonderful week!!
