Monday Mingle: 2/7/10 - WHO DAT! - What would Super Nanny say if she came to your house?

If you'd like to join in the fun, do a short vlog on your blog answering the week's questions (however many you choose), post the above button on your site and link up at Eighty MPH Mom. Visit the other participants, learn about them and have fun! Trust me, if I can do it, then you can.  Plus you can send in your questions to Jennifer for the next mingle via the form on her site. Come on jump in!
*Still waiting for video to upload. I swear , I should just do video on Sat and upload on Sunday with how long it takes to uplaod.*

THIS WEEK'S QUESTIONS, COURTESY OF MY DAUGHTER:
1. What would Super Nanny say if she came to your house?
2. On the show Wife Swap/Trading Spouses, they typically pick opposites - what type of spouse would they send to you? (meaning what type of spouse would you really hate having around!)
3. If your spouse (or if someone were to propose to you) what would your ideal proposal be (ie setting, creative)

1. Super Nanny would say that my home is clean and that we are laidback. She would then say that we should get out more and meet people and do creative fun things with the kids. I have a laid back approach with routines mixed in for our family. The kids wake up and have breakfast, watch their Dora and Kailan and then we do little learning that a kindergarten child would need to know and then they go off to play inside (winter) outdoors (summer), then it's snacks and naptime etc.  I want my kids to be on top of their class so that's why I'm preparing them, they love to learn so it's usually fun most of the time. If it's not right then we stop and go do something else. Soon my son will begin school and then for many years of his life, that will be it. So for now I think they should play and enjoy their babyhood.

2. The would send me a spouse who was a social butterfly and want to go out and be involve in all areas of life.  And that includes putting the kids in all sort of stuff to keep them busy etc. This would exhaust me and drive me nuts. I don't like to be too busy. If I go on the road 3 times a week, then that's enough for me. Of course I know things will change as the kids get older, but I will adjust.

3. It is hard to describe just one moment.
A few things that would work for me.
1. On a dinner date, put it in my napkin or get the waiter to put it in a glass of wine. I don't drink, so I'd definitely be seeing that.
2. Picnic - enjoying music in the back of a truck with towels and food spread out.  Lets get up and dance on the grass and you pop the Q.
3. If we are watching a movie together, surprise me at a commercial.

There are so many little moments I can think of that would work for me. Even walking/playing in the rain is a great time too. You can tell I'm a simple gal huh? :)

If my video come through I'll upload it later.

Thanks for visiting and I'll be by soon.

Have a great week!

WHO DAT!

Ok I got my video. Sigh.

Next week's questions (first question submitted by Susan @ Say It Face to Face/5 Minutes for Mom. Thank you Susan!):

1. Do you have brothers and/or sisters? Growing up did you wish you had more or less siblings?

2. Did you have a wedding/first dance song? If so what was it?

3. What did you do for Valentine's Day? Any special gifts given or received?

4.  In the spirit of Valentine's Day, tell us something special about your spouse/partner.

How it works:
1. Read the questions posted here on Eighty MPH Mom.
2. Record a vlog answering the questions.
3. Post the Monday Mingle button on right hand side (and/or link to Eighty MPH Mom), along with your vlog on your blog (remember this us an excellent way to bring new readers to your blog).
4. After your post is up, put the link to your blog/mingle in the linky on Eighty MPH Mom (so others can see yours!).
5. Visit the other "minglers" and leave comments. Also try to follow other minglers and maybe they will do the same!

Have fun!
**It is important to link to Eighty MPH Mom, so people can easily find the other minglers.

Oh Callie, you're so funny. I loved your answers. And you wearing your hat. lol Made me laugh. I'm not into football so you'll have to clue me in on the 'who dat' reference because I just don't get it.

I LOVE YOUR HAT! I was thinking about you yesterday when I heard that the Saints won :D

Super Nanny would definitely tell us to get out more too! As for a clean house, sorry sister you're on your own there lol

I'm learning to be a social butterfly but it's definitely strange territory!

I'm always afraid i'd drink or eat the ring if he proposed at dinner LOL I LOVE your rain idea, so romantic!

Jennifer-Eighty MPH Mom February 9, 2010 9:22 PM

I suspected you were a clean freak! I mean that in the nicest way possible!

I love your romantic ideas too - aren't they fun?

Aren't you happy that your Saints won? Woo hoo! Cute hat!

Thanks so much for mingling!

You are too cute! A clean house with kids? Woman you must be busier than me cleaning! Such sweet gestures for the proposal. I am a simple girl and loved my proposal and wouldn't change it! Have a great week beautiful!
