Sleep was almost the death of me!

A few years ago before I got married, I had a job. I worked 8am - 4pm each day. On many days I'd rush from work, hop a taxi, try to get to my class on time.

School was 5:30pm - 10pm. I was trying to get enough credits so that I could go to college and get a better job.

I had this plan of getting that kick ass job and then being able to buy my own home (a huge dream by any means if you know how things are in my country) and then maybe when I was in my thirties or so , I'd think of finding a dude and having a few kids.

Somehow those plans got bounced. Another long story.

I used to have to study late into the nights and then catch a few hours sleep to start the day over again.

One night I was doing this studying, maybe for a test and I was so tired I kept falling asleep, so I stood up, thinking that if I walked around with the book, I'd stay awake and be able to study.

I'm surprised I didn't crack my skull when I hit the floor.

Turns out sleep does not care if you are standing, sitting or laying down.

Lesson learned.

Have you been overtaken by sleep?

  3. I don't think I would be able to handle that much stress and lack of sleep. Did you know that the average adult needs 7-8 hours of sleep a night. A lot of people don't get the rest that their bodies need.

  5. Yes, I'm a transcriptionist, and if I'm doing a rush job I could be typing until 3,4 aometimes 5 o'clock in the morning, but before I mail any job in I make sure I proof read it because there were times that I'd find this: "--- the eyes have a sort of crannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiial effect unttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttil they..." well, you catch my drift don't you? LOL

  6. Well any mom with a newborn would know that in a heart-beat.

I do not miss those days at all. I guess since this happened before marriage then you had some practice pulling all-nighters with your babies.
