Where is your hope?

It has been said that as we get older the years get shorter and the days get longer! Life can often feel like a race that we are running and can't quite keep up.

Placing our hope in the Lord and the new life that He offers us in Christ is compared here to soaring on wings like eagles-like flying. Imagine it, no longer are we destined to place our hope in ourselves, our jobs, the economy, our friends or a spouse. We now have a hope that cannot be shaken.

When our hope is in the Lord our strength is renewed. Whatever you are facing today you have a choice. Where will you put your hope?

Today's commentary by:
Caesar Kalinowski, Pastor, SomaCommunities.org

 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:31

  1. My hope is definitely found in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

    I can tell you, I would have never made it through the murder of my mother (when I was 11, she was murdered in the bedroom right next to mine as I slept), Alcoholic grandparents that would beat us in their drunken stupors, losing our home in a house fire (nothing left but the clothes on our backs and our lives) and the recent death of my teenage daughter (passed away from injuries sustained in an auto accident). How does one survive such tragedies, some may ask. I can tell you it is the blessed hope I find in Jesus second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, and day by day. When I am weak He is made strong.

    Trust your heart to him, He will never fail you.

    Great post. Thanks so much for the encouragement.

  9. I supposed I do put my faith and hope in the lord a lot without knowing I do so, otherwise I would disintegrate.
