Collegiate Peaks - LA To AK - Aloha Friday

May 5

Buena Vista was just gorgeous! There we saw the Collegiate Peaks which are Princeton, Yale and Harvard. They are quite impressive.

Cute little town too.

I notice that they have a prison right there in full view of the surrounding beauty. If there is a prison to end up, Buena Vista would be it!

My Question:
Did you go to college? Are you going? Do you want to go to college?
*******
I have not yet gone to college. Before I got married I was attending continuing studies at night to earn credits but didn't get to finish. I still desire to go and hopefully soon.

I am also joining in with Friday Follow. So if you happen to visit and follow me, I will definitely be returning the love.

What gorgeous photos.

I did go to college and got a degree and I'm thanking God I did because I am now homeschooling my rising 8th grader and can't imagine keeping up with him without a degree.

I did 1 year at UNLV then my son was born and everything got set on the back burner.

I'm planning on going back to school in the next few years.

No I did not go to college. I went to Cosmatology school. It has been a great choice. Now that I have kids I can work school hours and be home with them everyday after school.

I went to BYU, in Utah. I almost graduated, but then we had to move to Pittsburgh so my husband could start dental school. I'm only 3 online classes away from finishing, but it is dang hard to do an online class. I loved going to class in real life, but this self motivation thing? So much harder.

Stopping by from the Girl Creative.

Actually when I went to school it was the years of rebellion and boycotting! I dropped out of high school when I was put in the hospital during a boycott. I went on to Beauty School, and got a diploma in Cosmetology. After that I went back to get my GED. Then I got most of my education on the streets & becoming a baby mama. After all my children were of school age I went back to school & got my diploma as a Legal Secretary/Assistant.

Annie June 11, 2010 1:07 PM

Yes, I have my degree. Then, started my master but not finished it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend.

The Mommy June 11, 2010 1:33 PM

Yes, I did go to college
I have a Masters in English Literature and despite that, I would love to go back to college later on.
BTW, awesome shots:)
I'll come with you to prison!!

Cascia June 11, 2010 3:19 PM

I have a degree in history and law but it hasn't helped me advance in a career so I regret the time and money spent on school.

When I look back I wish I would have gone to a two year tech school and learned a trade. I think I would have gotten a decent job right away if I did that.

Good luck if you are planning on furthering your education! The job market is really tough for recent college grads right now.

Thanks for stopping by the Healthy Moms. Have a wonderful weekend!

Whoa, those are nice pics, especially the hammock one. I have a similar screen saver.

I didn't get to go to traditional college but I did have a semester here and there. At this point, I don't believe I want to return.

I did go to College for about 3 yrs.

Never finished I adopted my daughter instead as a single mom it was too difficult to have 2 children do both so I stopped going to college I know very sad. I'd have a great career if I finished. Oh well.

i did finish college...i started at 17, stopped at 20, started again at about 25 and then it was off and on until university where i stopped at about 30...i finally finished after re-marrying and while pregnant with my last child at 40..;) i finished the last 2 years from home after having talked my university into letting me study from another state. i was so happy to finally receive that diploma! but i also enjoyed all the mothering i did in between (my oldest is now 23 and my youngest 4.. ;))

Tammy June 13, 2010 11:10 AM

I went for one year, and then my husband and I got married. I knew I wanted to be a stay at home mom, so I dropped out and went to work until we started our family.

On another note, GORGEOUS pictures! We're going to Alaska next year and I can hardly wait!

Romapr June 13, 2010 5:08 PM
