Sharing The Ladies Restroom With The Opposite Sex - Aloha Friday

My Question:
Do you take your son into the ladies restroom?
*******
I do. My son is age five and I take him in to use our bathroom unless daddy is there and can take him. Until he is 8 or so, I won't allow him to go into a male restroom alone.

  1. Until my sons were 6 or 7, I took them in with me. Once they were 6 or 7, I would stand out in front of the bathroom and wait for them.

  3. I would have my sons go in the ladies room with me. I see nothing wrong with it. Its all about keeping the kid safe. By the time they turned 10 and showed they were mature enough. I let them go alone. Thats why I love the idea of family bathrooms. There is no label issue.

  5. Yes - my son is only 4 so he definitely still goes in with me - unless my husband is around, then I'll have him go in with him to the mens room.

  8. I always took my boys with me until they were old enough to say, "Mom, I ain't goin' in the GIRLS bathroom!" I figured after that they're old enough for me to wait outside the door of the MEN'S john. ~HEHE~

  10. My son is 9 and I am still leary of him going by himself. But he is old enough to protest going into the ladies restroom so I let him go into the men's. But if he takes too long, I have nothing against going up in there to see what's up!

  11. I used to take my boys into the bathroom with me when they were younger. Thank goodness the boys could go together as they got older. I was always paranoid about them going alone.

  12. Only if my husband or older son isn't with me. I don't trust ANYONE!

  13. Depends on where we are. My daughter has gone into the mens with my husband, and when my boys were younger they came into the womens with me but they are 9 & 10 now and go in by themselves. If they take too long I open the door and call to them though. I can't really remember what age I stopped bringing the boys in with me, a time just came when it seemed right.

  15. I'm a little late here but to answer your question...
YES! I have 4 boys & my oldest is 7 & I still wont let him go into a public restroom alone! Too many freaks out there & I'm a paranoid mess already ;)

  16. I used to do that to. I wouldn't want him going in the men's room alone. He's 14 now though so can go on his own :)
