Everything comes out in summer. Even the insects! I will freak out if they come near me...well I used to :). Now I pretend that I'm not afraid of them so that my kids can make up their own mind about how they feel about bugs and insects. Especially the boy.

One species of insects that I cannot stand are mosquitoes! The little suckers come out in the best season of the year when everyone is wearing less clothing and outside of the home is party central with barbecues and parties and all sorts of festivities. 

It is summer mad-heat here in LA and so I usually wait for the  evening time to let the kids play outside and I have to spray them down with mosquito repellent. I am still looking for a repellent that doesn't smell so bad and so strongly or is this how they are supposed to smell?

This is why I'm so glad that I had a chance to try out the ThermaCELL Patio Lantern. It doesn't cover the whole backyard, but from my experiences, it definitely covers the deck area. I really didn't think this would actually work, but it does. 


Just follow the directions which are really easy and comes with photo directions,and let the lantern do it's job and enjoy your play area! 

The lantern is light and portable and you can take it to any area of your yard that you'll be hanging out. Every now and then a few bugs fly through, but nothing significant.

If the play move to an area that I don't think is covered, I just move the lantern right along :) Just have to make sure it's on a level surface.

My nostrils are delicate, very delicate and any product I am going to enjoy, must be mild enough to not be an irritation. If this lantern was giving off fumes, I would not be able to use it, so I'm glad it is indeed odor free.

I hate smelling the products that I have to put on our skin and I can't help but think it's not safe. This lantern is a great alternative to these products. 

I will definitely keep using this lantern.
