My Question:
Do you use a wordpress to blogger theme/template on your blog?
Is it a safe switch over?
What are the Pros and Cons?
Where do I find some good ones?

I wouldn't have a clue on what theme was what or anything!
ReplyDeleteOkay I think I've heard of Wordpress, but I haven't any clue either on what you're even talking about. Sorry!
ReplyDeletesorry, i can not help you...
ReplyDeletei have NO CLUE what you are talking about
I use blogger, and I paid someone to do a custom layout for me.
ReplyDeleteI use blogger and I'm happy with it.
ReplyDeleteI have all my themes designed by Adori Graphics http://www.adorigraphics.com/
I use both for different sites.
ReplyDeleteBlogger is so easy to use, it's free and you don't have to worry about being hacked.
On the other hand, if you want to take your blog up a level, definitely WordPress. WordPress will cost you but, the plug-ins and ability to get traffic/rankings etc really make it a no-brainer if you want your blog to be more professional.
Have a great Friday!

I use wordpress.com (as in not self hosted) but I'm not sure what a "wordpress to blogger theme" is?
ReplyDeleteYes I use a wordpress to blogger theme. The switch over is easy. Let me hunt the site for you.

I'm currently using the blogger new templates. I have tried WP to blogger themes in the past and found many had kinks I wasn't smart enough to work out on my own.
ReplyDeleteI have the same questions. I am using blogger, though I think wordpress has much more options. Would love to know who hosts wordpress...as I am thinking about switching as well.
ReplyDeleteI think wordpress themes look better, neater, and probably more SEO friendly, so if you feel like using 'Wordpress to Blogger' themes, i think that's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI use wordpress, and i design my own template/theme.
I once tried Wordpress (paid account) but then I got bored and transferred my collectection of quotes to Blogger.
ReplyDeleteI had to edit my entire template! So, I'm not sure if it's going to be safe for your layout.
All I know is your posts, including comments, can be transferred with no hassle.
I like your message... So, Aloha Friday to you, too!!!

ReplyDeleteI had Jessica at The Frilly Coconut do my design :)
ReplyDeleteWordpress, self-hosted and I do all the work and upkeep, coding, design and such, plus I have my own domain.
ReplyDeleteHi Collette I found you from Harriets blog. wordpress is much more flexible with plug ins galore. blogger is quite limited; but recently they made it much easier to change it's look and hopefully soon they'll be making it plug in accessable. stop by my blog sometime. you and I have similar blogs.
ReplyDeletei am clueless that is why I have stuck w/ blogger :)
ReplyDeleteI use blogger and blogger templates...
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to do that. I do like the new blogger templates thought there are a lot of new ones to choose from now.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
