The Queen Desires To Be Played With - WW

The boy desires to learn chess. He is five. I love the idea.

I want to learn to play chess too.

Daddy can play chess.

We are waiting for daddy to teach us chess.

At every chance the kids like to think they can play, and this they do. the boy do know the names of the pieces though, so that's a good start ja? :)

  2. Knowing the names of the pieces is a great start. Kids are really quite sharp. Now they just need to know which pieces can move where and hey are on their way.

  11. My boy has learned to play chess this year too! :> I remember the first time I ever played, I was a teen and babysitting. The little boy was six or eight years old and he pulled out his first chess set from when he was three for me to learn on. It had the ways you could move a piece written on the back of each one. And you know what?! He still beat me, every single time! lol Oh well, it was a good learning experience. :>

  12. Your kids are absolutely adorable! I love that they already know the names of some pieces - that is a good start! Princess Nagger wants to learn how to play chess - I used to play, but for the life of me, I can't remember! :)

  13. Chess is such a mind engrossed time consuming game. Although it's fun! I remember as kids my step dad taught us how. My brother and I used to play all the time. I still remember what all the pieces do and maybe one day we'll have a game again in our home. It's been yrs.

I'm sure there are lots of sites on line to learn the rules and how to play. IF you look them up and teach him you can wow your hubby. ENJOY

  15. My dad taught me how to play chess when I was younger. I still know how the pieces move but I much prefer checkers. I have terribly chess "strategy". =)

  16. That is too cool. I play chess as well. In fact when I use to work for Western Electric we had tournaments there. I use to play, and I won a few, but loss many. Sometimes you'd think so hard you'd get a headache! That's great he wants to learn.
