Bing "Our School Needs" Voting Phase Blog Tour - You Can Win

I am almost thirty years old and one of my deepest desires is to get my bachelors degree.
I know I would have long achieved this if I had the support I needed as a child while attending school and then choosing a career path.

I feel strongly about children getting a good education so they can have a choice when opportunities come their way in their adult lives.

I'm so happy that Bing cares so much about education and the needs of our schools.  Bing is doing a campaign to help teachers and students reach their fullest potential.

I've seen a few of the entries and I'd love James Singleton Chtr Sch to win. Will you give just a bit of your time and help out a school?

Read below to learn more about this very important blog tour and also how to vote at this linkwww.bing.com/ourschoolneeds  http://discoverbing.com/education/ourschoolneeds?form=MFEHPG&publ=COMMS&crea=EML_MFEHPG_OSN_EnterToWin_MomCentralPR_1x1

Bing is showing its commitment to education by helping teachers and students through providing them with the financial support needed to ensure a successful learning experience. Bing will give away up to $1.1 million dollars through its Our School Needs contest.

Voting Phase Blog Tour:
In a bid to win $100,000 for their school, parents, students, and teachers around the country have been telling Bing what their school needs through essays, photos and videos.  You can read some of their amazing stories here.
A panel of judges, including critically acclaimed, Academy Award-winning director and producer, Davis Guggenheim, of Waiting for Superman and An Inconvenient Truth fame, and DonorsChoose.org founder, Charles Best, will narrow down the entries to 15 finalists.

Starting October 29th, it's up to the public to determine the winner.
More details about the contest:
  • Bing is awarding a quarter-million dollars in prize money divided among four schools in need, and your vote can make all the difference.
  • The entry with the most votes wins $100k, and 3 others will each win $50k.
  • Bing is giving away up to $900,000 to schools in need through DonorsChoose.org, a non-profit website where public school teachers can post classroom projects that need funding.  Be one of the first 30,000 to vote for your favorite finalists each day and receive a $3 donation code to redeem for the classroom project of your choice!
  • The voting phase starts Friday, October 29 and runs through Sunday, November 7. America will be asked to vote on the 15 Our School Needs finalists as determined by the panel of judges. The winners will be announced Tuesday, November 9.

Imagine how your community could help benefit local schools by participating! We have stars taking part in this wonderful venture along with you. Check out singer Josh Groban who visited a local middle school in Queens, NY to drop off brand new musical instruments and participate in chorus class as part of the “Our School Needs” campaign kick-off.

So what are you waiting for! Go enjoy being charitable and help a school on the road to great success!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Bing and (will) received a gift card and DonorsChoose.org giving code to thank me for taking the time to participate.

See my disclosure.
