Explosive Hallelujah - Music Monday/Meet Me Monday

I've come across many different kinds of foods here in America and one of them is the 'biscuit'. I was quite surprise to learn that this is what Americans refer to as biscuits.
In my country these are what we call biscuits. And all other such as it.

Funny huh? :)

Anyway, I've come to love the American biscuits. I can use them with dinner or breakfast or just a snack that is not sweet. I like them and they are easy to prepare.

Now for my dilemma. One day I heard an explosion in my fridge. Dh was nearby and looked to find the things had exploded in the fridge. EH! What on earth?

Has this happen to you?

No they weren't expired and the fridge temp was just fine.

Anyway I"m over it. I'll just buy more, but did this ever happen to you?

Anyway, let's move on to the music :) I promise he starts singing...:) It's good.

Well I heard there was a secret chord
that David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this :
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah...

Well your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
And she tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah...

(Yeah but) Baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor, (You know)
I used to live alone before I knew ya
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
and love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah...

Well there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me do ya
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah

Hallelujah...

[Instrumental]

Maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelu...
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelu...
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah

Hallellllluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuujjjaahhhh...
Hallelllluuuuuujjaaaaaaaaaahhhh

  1. Not sure I think I've heard this song before. Love the words. As far as your biscuits nope that's never happened to me unless you had a pinhole in there somehow, and then with it getting cold it blew up. Not sure about that dilemma. Sorry.

  2. I'm so glad you posted the lyrics too because the video has copyright restrictions where I am. The 2nd paragraph - that's Bathsheba bathing, right? His Majesty could not resist nyahahaha! And I remember the hair-cutting she was Delilah. Poor Samson. Oh, enough reminiscing on Bible stories... :)

    Love your pick!

  8. I've heard this before, but not Jeff Buckley's version of it. It is originally a Leonard Cohen song. It is one of the greatest songs ever - I also love Rufus Wainwrights version of it.

My biscuits have popped open before on their own. If you ever watch Paula Dean, she is funny. She is a professional southern cook that is afraid of biscuits - holds them away and flinches when opening them.

  14. Hi! I'm a new follower of your blog and loved your biscuit story. It happened to my grandma, too. She left the biscuit container in the refridgerator for too long and it blew up on her! She had never had that happen.
Anyway, great blog. I've enjoyed my visit.

    Hugs,
