After he finished his project for school. He asked to cut one little thing. I left the room/kitchen and came back to that....
Notice the minute particles. I ensure that he had all his fingers and then told him to pick every single piece up. He did not like that at all. Eventually I handed him 'mercy' (a brush and pan to make it easier). For more Wordless/wordful Wednesdays check out 5 minutes for moms , Wordless Wednesday and Parenting By Dummies and Go Graham Go!

Oh I have been there! My kids get fascinated with scissors and so far my oldest takes the cake. Every day he would come home from school with a new "cut out" in the middle of his shirt! I was sooo mad! Especially because he is the oldest of my three boys so he was ruining shirts that could completely have been passed down to the next one. Keeping my fingers crossed your guy doesn't come with the same idea ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL..oh my gosh! I'm sure that was "fun" to clean up!
ReplyDeleteUgh. The dreaded scissors! The kids are drawn to them, but the messes are legendary. My son is drawn to cut things up that I need!
ReplyDeleteI have (so far) been able to keep the scissors up from my 2-1/2 yr old. I know it's only a matter of time. We're still in the "chewing crayons into oblivion" stage. I will never understand the need to eat crayons yet not want to eat real food with actual taste.
ReplyDeleteLol, looks like someone got little overexcited with the scissors.
ReplyDeleteJust be glad it was paper and not hair. My oldest "fixed" his hair once.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you just came back to soon Mom. He might have cleaned it up all by himself!
ReplyDeleteGlad you gave him "Mercy"!
ReplyDeletemy daughter likes to do this too..cut or tear paper into a million pieces..ehh
ReplyDeleteHe's quite the little artist, you should have given him some glue and asked him to paste the pieces to something you could throw away later :) keep him busy for another hour LOL
ReplyDeleteYou'd think his hand would be tired after all that cutting. :) Bet he learned his lesson. :)
ReplyDeleteOh geezers! Lots of memories! Glad there was no blood involved! I think it is an an accomplishment thing too, to be able to cut up tiny things... but no fun cleaning it up! What a nice mom to give him 'mercy'! ~hugs, Faythe :)
ReplyDeleteI'm scared for when my girls learn how to use the scissors for this exact reason!
ReplyDeleteOh, the scissors...especially, the unattended ones. They are so quick!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny!
ReplyDeleteOww.. your kid make so much mess... haha..
ReplyDeletebut I bet he have so much fun with the scissor..
LMAO
