She's A Barefoot Driver - Aloha Friday

My driving situation is this: When I began driving I couldn't do it with my shoes on. I was afraid I'd press the gas pedal too hard and get into an accident. So I practiced learning to drive with bare feet.

It's winter now and I really don't want to take my feet out my shoes to drive, so I'm practicing to drive with my shoes on. It's freaky! It's almost like learning to drive all over again. It scares me a little. Sometimes on the return trip, I don't even realize my shoes was on until I got home!!!!

What about you?

QUESTION:
1. Do you drive barefoot?
2. Who taught you to drive?

1. I'm a barefoot driver :)
2. My husband taught me to drive and he was surprisingly patient and very helpful.

 ******************************
Tonight for dinner I made my own pizza. I wanted dh to taste my home made pizza. Everyone LOVED it! I'm all pleased and stuff and have decided to give them dessert :)
I will make another pizza with wheat dough. We'll see how that one turns out. I am loving the Boboli!

I am also joining in with Friday Follow. So if you happen to visit and follow me, I will definitely be returning the love.

You Can Floss In Seconds!

BrytonPick is a new kind of floss for me. It's easy and handy and very discreet. No more walking around with spinach decorating your teeth! After lunch with the boss, just grab your floss and duck into your car :)

I floss, just not as regularly as I should, but because I'm guilt prone in an OCD kind of way, two weeks wont go by without me grabbing some string or pick to touch up the gum and give the teeth a reason to reward me.

The BrytonPick was really easy to use and if I see them in the store, I'll definitely grab a few for easy use and also on the go needs.

Do you floss? Do you think it's too timely? Is it not convenient enough for your lifestyle? Why not try out the BrytonPick?

DID YOU KNOW: ADA statistics show only 12% of the population flosses regularly, mainly because floss is not convenient or easy to use. With today's busy lifestyle there is rarely time or a proper place to floss after meals. Since not many products are reusable or comfortable to carry, people often use dangerous improvised tools like; a pen cap, paperclip, staple, fingernail, edge of paper, or worse!

SOLUTION: BrytonPick is stylish, convenient and descreet, making it more socially acceptable than typical products. It is designed to be used daily, when on the go, to remove food debris and plaque from between  teeth after meals and snacks.

FIRST TRY: We suggest trying BrytonPick after eating and in front of a mirror. Gently slide between teeth and avoid contact with the lips, see package for further instruction. It normally takes several tries to become accustomed to the cleaning procedure.

BrytonPick is made int the USA from completely recyclable materials. An additional environmental benefit is that BrytonPick is reusable (because of its germ-resistant stainless steel cleaning strips), thereby reducing the waste stream.

Pick up a pack today and see if this will fit your lifestyle!
Visit BrytonPick's website

Bonding Over Hair And Chocolates - WW

She sits and lets me do her hair since she was 2 and something. She only cries when I'm washing her hair and not all the time either.  I just have to find ways to distract and calm her a bit.

When I'm doing her hair, I'll let her have whatever books and toys she wants, but she reads so fast, she wants other things to do to pass the time.
Now I share my computer with her and she does her ABCs and reading, while I do her hair and everyone is happier.

When I do her hair like this, it's easier for me because I don't have to worry about grooming her hair so much in the mornings while trying to get the boy ready for school. It serves for a week or two and then we undo and wash and start all over again.

 A little chocolate doesn't hurt either :)
I'll have to start doing them bigger to cut down on the time.

Dial Healthier You Skin Nutrition 101

I'm always looking for healthier ways to keep and make my skin beautiful. What woman doesn't want to feel soft and pampered in their own skin.

Dial is giving me great tips on how to keep my skin healthy.  I'm so excited to share some of these tips with you and hope that you will try their products.

How do you pamper your skin?

In week 1 we discussed Skin healthy foods. Amy Hendel, the Dial healthier you program expert shares some great tips throughout the whole program about how to be a healthier you. I hope you will get to see all her informative videos.

They say that you are what you eat, and when it comes to your skin’s health, your food choices can improve your skin’s resilience and clarity, slow the aging process and prevent breakouts. Keeping processed foods to a minimum and focusing on a diet rich in whole foods will help your skin maintain its health.

Let’s look at the three major aspects of skin care:

Hydration:
To keep your skin from becoming dry, drink lots of water and eat foods like oily fish and flaxseed that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Make sure to include foods fortified with biotin like white meat chicken, eggs and Swiss chard to help your body process those healthy fats.

Blemish fighters:
To fight breakouts, make sure to follow a proper skin care regimen, and include foods rich in zinc like vegetarian baked beans, garbanzo beans and pumpkin seeds.

Anti-aging:
Commit to regular use of a broad spectrum SPF, and add vitamin E to your daily diet to prevent skin damage and wrinkles. Foods enriched with Vitamin E include tuna and fortified cereals. Dark chocolate, tea and watermelon contain compounds that will also help you fight skin damage.

When you go to the supermarket to buy these healthy skin-promoting foods, include Dial® NutriSkin™ body wash, which hydrates and moisturizes while cleansing your skin of impurities. Remember to share your healthy eating tips and experiences with us by posting your Dial® Diaries. At the end of this week, let us know if you are already seeing a positive difference in your skin!
- Amy

I did get to try the Dial ultra hydrating body wash and I must say, it definitely leaves the skin feeling clean, soft and moisturizing. I also love the scent. I can't wait to try their other products!

You can find them here on Facebook!

This was not a paid post and I received a bottle of Dial body wash. See my disclosure.

Memories of Christmases Gone By - Aloha Friday

While living in the orphanage, we were allowed to come up with dances and plays to share with visitors who came to see us or for special church outings during the holidays.

I especially LOVED the dances. I still would love to be a professional dancer. Think 'so you think you can dance.'

The plays were fun and interesting too, so my question is:

QUESTION:
1. Have you ever been in a Christmas play?
2. Did you do mimes or did you have to say lines and sing?

Next on my menu is 'Get yo man chicken!"  I saw the recipe on cooking with the Neelys. I had to try it. It's yummy! Dh and the kids love it and I'm still trying to bring his tastebuds back from Scotland.  You can find the recipe here.

I am also joining in with Friday Follow. So if you happen to visit and follow me, I will definitely be returning the love.

A Kind Of Fun I Never Experienced As A Kid - WW

I raked the whole yard. It was good exercise. Then the kids wanted to enjoy the leaves! They had a ball! It's the kind of fun I've never experienced and I get to see my kids enjoy.

Ahh the simple things that make them happy.
Eying the leaves. Asking me if it's time yet to jump!

 And they're off!
I know they'd choose the leaves over the ball 10 times!
