May 6-7
We are driving all night through Montana and into Canada.
We are hoping to be on time and not miss our ferry.
The drive is harrowing! We are dealing with black ice on the road and snow. It's dangerous. Dh already got out twice to check the road and tires to see if it's ok to go on.
We just saw a couple in a ditch, we asked if they were alright about 3 times and they said yes. It seems one was pushing the car out while the other drive etc... We still crawled away, just in case they got into more trouble and needed help. Dh was the one asking and I was half asleep. Hopefully they didn't say no out of fear.
They got back on the road and all was well, so we finally tried to go on but couldn't proceed more than a few feet. The ice on the road was so bad that our tires were just spinning.
We dropped into four wheel drive and that did the trick to get us going again. Did I mention how much I like this truck? :)
The beauty is often breathtaking to be surrounded by the vastness of it.
On our way down there and around the bend :)
You Canadians might know where that is
Ahh the scenery!
Haven't seen those sheep up close and personal before.
These were right outside our window. We saw quite a few of them!
It's a beautiful view.
