Before Dh left for work, we did the whole family thing. We went bike riding together, then caught a movie and had dinner.
I loved that we could do this and that both kids could ride along on their own and keep up.
I'm also very proud of myself that I was able to teach my children how to ride and they learn so quickly!
We then went to see Tangled. It's a really fun and good family movie. It made me cry because it reminded me of the years of living in an orphanage, not knowing my real family. I should buy it for our family. It is such a beautiful ending!
After the movie, we were just going to do a fast food stop but on the way he spotted a restaurant he hadn't tried before and we went in to visit. It was an Italian restaurant! The food was so good that I had to force myself to stop eating and get the box! *Sweet sigh*
One of my first thought was that, we aren't even dressed for this place! And the other was that I can't wait for my best friend to visit so I can take her to this restaurant!
I ordered something. I can't remember the Italian name and salad. All I can remember is that the tomatoes in the salad was soo good that I kept moaning.
I cannot wait to go back!
Questions:
1. Do you go to the movies?
A: We probably go 2 or 3 times a year
2. Have you seen Tangled? Or which movie do you want to see now?
So all I can say is: Carraba here I come!
I am also joining in with Friday Follow. So if you happen to visit and follow me, I will definitely be returning the love.

Sounds like a really fun family day. I'm glad you had fun.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen Tangled. But movies like that - we usually get it when it comes out in DVD.
We don't usually go to the movies except if we have someone to look after the babies.
There is an upcoming movie that I'd like to see - it's a comedy with a title "Paul", but I can wait when it releases on DVD or rental.
We usually go to the movies 3 or 4 times a month, but haven't gone much since the summer. I haven't seen Tangled. I'm going to see The Rite this weekend.
ReplyDelete1) We went to the movies once in five years.
ReplyDelete2) I have not seen Tangled but can't wait to!
I love your evening, it is a dream for me to ride the bike with the kids and go have dinner like that. T is too little to go in this neighborhood. :-(
BTW- I like your new header. Very dreammy and happy.
ReplyDeleteHi, Colette!
ReplyDeleteI love going to the movies but lately I only get to watch at home, especially those that artists sends for me to review. I think I want to watch Tangled as well. Will just have to find time, I guess.
1) The last movie I saw out was Toy Story 3 last summer. IF we see 2-3 it is a lot.
ReplyDelete2) Have not seen Tangles yet, but want to before going to Disney.
My kids and I love going to the movies. My husband doesn't mind going, but he is notorious for falling asleep during movies so he hardly ever goes with us. My friend and I try to go out to a movie and dinner every couple months for a night out without husbands or kids.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to see if they have a Cabarra here - that looks (and sounds) SO good!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's usually Princess Nagger and I that will go to the movies several times a year (hubby prefers not to go, because he gets uncomfortable sitting still for long periods of time...heh, heh!). So we do a girl's outing. We did see Tangled and LOVED it - it's on my list to buy, too. The next one we're looking forward to seeing is Gnomeo and Juliet. :)
Aloha: Where Do You Blog?
You know I'm too cheap to go to the movies more than once a year.
ReplyDeleteAnd we have a Carrabas in the next town over but I've never been. Now you've made me want to go!
We go to the movies, but not with my son - he's 2...I have not seen tangled, though I want to.
ReplyDeleteRight now I want to see The King's Speech, I have heard great things about it
Mmmmmm...I love me some Carrabbas! We have one just across the street. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy family and I go to the movies quite frequently. When a movie is released that we can't wait to see, we have to go opening weekend. We can't wait to see Gnomeo and Juliet.
We saw Tangled and absolutely loved it! What a great film! The soundtrack is fantastic, too. I thought it was interesting that you could relate to the movie from personal experience. Was your orphanage in a tall tower? TOTALLY KIDDING! lol ;-) Just trying to make light of a serious subject and make you smile.
Thanks so much for the linky love and playing along again for this week's Friday Food Fight. You're a doll!
BTW...You will love my dish this week. :-)

We only go a few times a year to see movies. I haven't seen Tangled yet
ReplyDeleteI use to go to the movies all the time. It just got so expensive that I'd rather wait till it comes out on video.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

I've seen Tangled. I loved it so much. Next one I really want to see is Gnome & Juliet.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Tangled yet, but due to the snow-storm I doubt if we'll be going much of anywhere for a bit. I'm looking forward to seeing Gnomeo & Juliet it looks like a really cute movie, but then again I want to see Tangled too. We have a IMAX Theater right by my house so my movie experience has really enhanced. So far my favorite one that I saw there was Avatar & Tron just got added too! Have a great weekend my friend!
ReplyDeletei have not been to the movie since i was pregnant.. and broxton will be 2 this month...
ReplyDeletesad!
Aw, it sounds like you and your family had a great time out together! That's so wonderful to hear :)
ReplyDeleteAs for your questions, as a family, we rarely go to the movies because my mom really doesn't like to. So I'd say if we're lucky, once a year if that.
Although my dad and I love to go to the movies all the time so I'd say maybe 3 to 4 times a year or more :)
I'm really looking forward to seeing No Strings Attached-It looks so funny!!
Have a great weekend Callie xD
How exciting you taught your kids to ride a bike.
ReplyDeleteWe taught our 2 older boys and the middle son taught the youngest.
We have a Carrabba's here but haven't been in a while.
Hmmm...we need a date night :)
I'd like to see the movie `Tangled`
Maybe when it comes to our $2 movie theater.
Have a wonderful weekend.
we only go to the movies a few times a year we tend to watch more at home we are homebodies
ReplyDeleteHaven't been to the movies for a while... But I love going!! There are way too many too list that I want to see!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE Carabba's Italian Grill! Our favorite meal to get there... you guessed it... Steak Marsala! Mmmmm!
ReplyDeleteWe loved the movie Tangled! Meg fort the whole animation cute Disney flick factor, me for the whole Zachary Levi factor! *Swoon*
I'm sorry it reminded you of being in an orphanage, that must've been tough! ((hugs))
Anyhoo! As soon as I get a chance I'll shoot the recipe for steak diane over to you! xx
Never get out to movies since our daughter was born which is fine by me. It's been so cold and snowy here, I'd rather curl up by the fire and watch something on TV :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Hi Colette, I saw your blog on Jumpin Beans and wanted to come and say hi! That restaurant sounds really good. I don't think we have one around here... Chicago.
ReplyDeletewww.rosarymom.blogspot.com
I think I go to the movies about as much as you do. :-) Maybe less! Yeah, less...three movies the last two years.
ReplyDeleteWow, is that scallop and shrimp I see? Yumm!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun! And that dish looks so yummy!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe go once in a while, maybe 1-2 x per year. We haven't seen Tangled yet, but I really want to get it for the kids! I heard it was great. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I love your new blog set-up.
ReplyDeleteI don't go to the movies very much anymore, but I did see Tangled with my niece and nephew. Such a cute movie!! The boys go together still & get them gift cards to encourge them to spend more time together. :-) ~ Coreen
Tangled was very cute- I loved it. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a fun Friday.
1) Yes we do go to the movie when it reaches the second hand run theater, much cheaper, and if the movie is bad, I don't feel so bad spending the money.
ReplyDelete2) I haven't seen Tangled, but I would like to see the King's Speech!
these food makes me hungry....love your blog...that's why me and my blogs are following it now! have a great day!
