What's Your Oral Health Journey?

Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse Test Drive campaign

When I was in my country, for me going to the dentist was not an option. I just did not have the money for that and many of my fellowmen did not either. So I know I probably went to the dentist two times in my whole 24 years of life living there and I'm am pretty sure it was for something terrible, where I was having tooth ache and needed a filling and another time for something official, and not really about me wanting to go or being able to go by myself.

But even at a very young age I have always been conscious about how I take care of my mouth. You will always find me brushing twice a day and before I learned about flossing.

After learning about flossing, I was still never able to do it as often as I knew it should be done.
And to be honest, mouthwash was very expensive for me to put on my list, so my constant was a toothbrush and toothpaste.

I remember when I came to the US and my first time at the dentist. I thought for sure my whole mouth would be bad and I was so surprised when my dentist said he can't believe how good my oral health is based on the fact that I've only been to the dentist twice in my whole life at that time.
I was stoked. I was just so excited to hear that, and it made me know that all my hard work in taking special care of my teeth with what I had available to me had paid off.

Since I've been here can afford to, I now used a mouth wash every now and then (because I hate having to wait 30 mins before eating and drinking again, not so much the eating) and I also floss somewhere in there.

At first I did not want to use another mouth rinse because it burned my mouth and I thought all of them was like that! But I eventually found one that didn't burn, but then I started to wonder if it actually worked without burning! Of course I did some research and found out why it burned.

So I do use one now, but I'm stoke about trying out the Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean multi-Protection Rinse

This is definitely something I need and especially at my age, I have to ensure that I take good care of all the different aspects of my health.

The Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse promises to do wonderful things for my oral health and I can't wait!

New Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse gives you an invigorating clean that lets you know you’re working toward a better dental check-up—not to mention 6 benefits in 1.
  • Kills germs
  • Reduces plaque
  • Helps prevent gingivitis
  • Keeps teeth cleaner longer**
  • Freshens breath
  • Invigorating sensation
What about you? Do you use a mouth rinse?

I Need A Sign

I need rescue right now. I'm broken in heart and have no idea which direction to go. I never thought I'd be here again. I will try to make sure I am not here again, but in the meantime, I'm broken in spirit and heart.

Information about how to live a healthy lifestyle is just a click or a call away, but sometimes it's hard to sift through the information and find the right products that works well for your body.

Meet ResVitale:
By capturing the French vineyards age-old, time-tested wisdom, ResVitále is dedicated to three key elements making it unique within its industry:

Vineology: Harnessing the restorative nature of the vineyard to protect youthful radiance. Rich in French heritage, the vineyard possesses the purest trans-Resveratrol - ResVitále's devotion to agelessness begins here.

Traceability: Sourced from the finest French vineyards, ResVitále Resveratrol can be traced back directly to the source, providing consumer confidence in the purity, freshness and authenticity of our product line and brand.

Organics: The finest Resveratrol is naturally produced by plants as a defense against harmful elements in their environment. Since
non-organic plants have man-made chemicals to protect them, they do not
create Resveratrol nearly as potent or powerful as what you will find with our
organic ingredients.

They are offering two winners the Keratin Enhance ($40 value)

About the Keratin Enhance:

Cynatine HNS Keratin is produced using a patented process that allows the Keratin molecule to be absorbed throughout the body. Keratin is the key protein that comprises 97-98% of our hair, nails and the outer layer of our skin, and unlike topical Keratin treatments, using digestible bioative Keratin is a breakthrough solution with the following benefits:
Hair: Improves strength, brightness, flexibility and volume leading to less breakage and improved shine. A clinical study demonstrated that hair loss from washing was reduced by 30% over a 90-day period. Hair strength was improved by 12% with a marked improvement in the shine and brightness of hair
Nails: Supports enhanced strength, integrity and flexibility
Skin: Data suggests keratin may help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, promote firmness and elasticity, and improve hydration and nourishment

Travel The World On A Globe

I've always been interested in geography, but I'm no match for my husband who excels at it and knows where most places are laid out and how to navigate very well when traveling.

I'm always surprise when my kids remember places and even help me find them. They are very good little navigators.

We like to travel and do so when we can afford to. You'll remember our drive from Louisiana to Alaska?

And we use the map most of the times and try to teach the kids how to figure out where we are and where we are headed.

When their father was in Scotland, I had the kids find the places he'd be staying and they got to understand better about where daddy was working.

This is why I choose the globe for them. Now they try to find where my country is and where the grandparents live and other family members.

The next thing they need is a good magnifying glass to see the smaller countries on the map.

Replogle - 30801 - Pioneer Educational Globe

I love our globe and I'm sure it will be a great source of help and learning for our family.

Does your family own a globe? Do you find places on it together?

  2. Hazel/Delineating Des
Welcome to Meet Me Monday!  Meet Me Monday is a weekly link-up hosted by Inspiring You To Save! created for socializing and to get new followers, subscribers, and readers.  Every Monday a new linky will be posted..

Questions:

1.  Crunchy or soft tacos?

I prefer soft. I don't like anything cutting into my gums/between my teeth when eating.  Of course sometimes there is the medium crunchy ones that I'll give a try.

2.  Do you scrapbook?

No. I wish I did, if even for the first five years of my children's lives. But I fear I don't have the drive and creativity to go along with the longing.

3.  Do you take any daily medications?

No. And I'm glad that my health is good so I do not have to do this. I'm not sure I'd remember all the time.

  4.  What is your favorite sound?

Laughter. It means someone is free in that time. Children's laughter. You cannot help but feel some of that inside you.

5.  Where were you born?

I was born in the Caribbean island of Jamaica.  Hoping to visit again.

Thanks for sharing your time with me today.

A Slice Of Food Heaven Aloha!

I think I might be typing this in my sleep, so forgive the mess.

Questions:
1. Do you like cake?

Yes I do, but I rarely eat it. I actually had a great dream about it lastnight and it shocked me that I didn't have the slice of cake I knew I bought in my dream.

2. Do you like icing on your cake? Or just plain?

I don't mind a wee bit of icing, but another reason I don't buy cake  is because of the slobberfest of icing on them.
I usually scrape the icing off before eating it. Dh thinks I'm weird.

Of course there are icings that are absolutely delish, but you can rarely find those.

I made turkey stirfry with rice and salad sometime this week. It was definitely yum and I have to do it again. I would also love to start a menu, but seems I'm not sure how.

What is your foodie thing for this week?

I am also joining in with Friday Follow. So if you happen to visit and follow me, I will definitely be returning the love.

1.  What jewelry do you wear 24/7?
I wear my wedding ring all the time.  I really would love a hoop earring set, but so far this is all I wear. There's hardly any need to dress up.

2.  Do you twirl your spaghetti or cut it?
I cut it mostly. Twirl is just to see if I can get it. :)

3.  How many siblings do you have?
I have 3 half siblings. One sister and two brothers. We do not have any sort of relationship. I met them when I was in my 20s.

4.  Were you named after anyone?
No. My mom just loved this name and gave it to me. I love it too. It's French :)

5.  Coke or Pepsi?
Neither and I wish my hubs would stop drinking it. I'm a water or fruit juice/water girl.

Nice to meet me and you :)
