I hate going for my pap but we have a female PA we can see for that if we prefer.

Smellyann February 24, 2012 3:38 AM

They all make me uncomfortable to an extent, since I didn't go to doctors growing up (it was against my religion). Now I go, and it doesn't matter whether I have a male or female. My primary doc is female, but I see several male specialists, including my gyn/oncologist.

Cuzinlogic February 24, 2012 4:20 AM

None of them make me uncomfortable. My primary doctor is male. In fact most of the doctors I see are male.

Stacy Uncorked February 24, 2012 7:33 AM

All doctor visits make me uncomfortable, but the most uncomfortable is my annual GYN - my doctor is female. :)

My OB-GYN is a female, my family doctor is male. I really like them both but just hate going to the doctor in general. The dentist (female) probably makes me most uncomfortable of all!

Debbie February 24, 2012 8:03 AM

I love my female dentist but I hate the actual visit. Give me the ObGyn any day compared to the dentist!

TheAngelForever February 24, 2012 8:43 AM

Not a fan of going to the doctor. Thanks to having a great woman GYN, I am not too nervous when going there (not that I love the exam). Need to find a new regular doctor that I like, but never time to figure that out.

Amethyst Moon February 24, 2012 10:43 AM

I'm most uncomfortable if I have too much going on. I feel like they'll think I'm crazy or something so I try to limit my concerns to one or 2 things. I usually see female docs.

Savannah Cooper-Hughes February 24, 2012 11:32 AM

Now that I think about it, I think I'm most nervous going to the dentist! Even more so than the pap appointments haha. Male or female doctor, it doesn't bother me. I was in the military so I'm used to having all kinds!

LoveMy2Dogs February 24, 2012 12:12 PM

I hate going for that yearly pap. Ugg! I go to a female doctor for that and everything else and wouldn't have it any other way. They aren't like men, they know what we are going through.

I agree with Judy Sheldon Walker. OB GYN's visits are the most uncomfortable for me. And I prefer and ask for female doctor whenever I can!

I am Harriet February 24, 2012 1:50 PM

It's not so much the doctor as it is the waiting area and waiting time and then the scale. uurrgghhh..... If doctor visits were as efficient as drive-thru's I'd be a happier patient.

Have a great Friday!

I guess the dentist is the one I hate most going to.

I have a male and female doctor. Like them both.

Xmasdolly February 24, 2012 4:37 PM

OMG I have so many doctors & they are both male & female. I go to pain control management and I love the doctor, but I hate/love what he has to do. I get shots in my back with a needle that looks like it's 12" long OWWWWWWIEEEEEEEEE, but later I have no pain for about a month. He's a really good doctor & I just went today.

Hi Colette ~~ This is a nice 2Q meme. Really, I like all my doctors. Just some better than others.

1. Which doctor visit makes you most uncomfortable?
I like my cardiologist the best. He saved my life (search my blog for that).
2. Do you have a male or female doctor? Which do you prefer?
My GP is a male -- he is new to me as my doctor left. The new doc is a pill pusher but a nice guy.
My cardiologist you know from above
My two orthopedic doctors, knee and spine, are both male.
My gastro enterologist makes me a little uncomfortable with his colonoscopies.
My dermatologist is a lady. She is cute, small, single, and very nice. I know about her family and where she came from before here. I could be in love with her if ...
... IF I were younger and IF I were single.

Most of my doctors are female except my dentist. I prefer female doctors.

Of course it's my yearly pap that I hate the most. I do have a female physician though. I insist on it since my hubby is also a doctor and I'd hate to have his co-workers messing about "down there" if you know what I mean Lol!

burgmom February 25, 2012 8:25 AM

I would have to say my GYN visits. Dread them. I just realized all of my doctors are males. I never thought about that before. LOL.

Self Sagacity February 25, 2012 10:35 AM

i have mostly female doctors. but the last ob - a new one made me uncomfortable.
I prefer females, but given the last visit with the ob I am now thinking I should switch to a male ob...hum.

Forgetfulone February 25, 2012 4:56 PM

Female gyn. Male GP. Male dentist. Male eye dr. I hate the dentist worse than anything!
