Every time I see something most terrible, I do get shocked, outraged and etc the emotions that pushes forward. But at the end of the time, I remind myself, truly, I am capable of these same terrible things.
Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. – Galatians 6:1-2 (NIV)
Today’s commentary by Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor, GraceNYC.org
When we are faced with the disappointment of moral failure, it is good to remember that we are prone to everything that another human can do.
When we realize this, we can decide to carry the burden of another’s weakness instead of criticizing them.
We can deal with the sin while we don’t condemn the sinner.

I really like that lesson-It bothers me when we, as human beings, judge each other. I know there is a certain amount of judgement in life, but we've been taking it way to far these days.
ReplyDeleteIf we only remember that we can be in the same position as everyone else, maybe it would be a little better?
Kind of like throwing out the bath water, but not the baby....
ReplyDeleteGood reminder to think of the sin, not the sinner.
