I am not getting enough fish in my diet. There I said it.
I can buy the frozen and get it done but lordy them things are expensive!
However I will try to get fish in my diet a few times a month. A pill just does NOT cut it. I despise pills and so does my body because my throat can do the auto-lock every time I need to take a pill or any sort.
I used to eat more fish when I was in my country. Maybe because it was an island? hmm
What about you? Do you eat enough fish in your meal plan?
Low intake of omega-3 fatty acids, found in salmon and vegetable oils, may be associated with a greater risk of depression. A 2004 Finnish study found an association between eating less fish and depression in women, but not in men. These fatty acids regulate neurotransmitters like serotonin, which could explain the link. Fish oil supplements may work too; at least one study found they helped depression in people with bipolar disorder.

I'm a very big fish fan-LOVE it! Especially growing up with it because the family was huge into hunting and fishing; kinda in the blood I suppose :)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately we don't get enough fish into our diet either-Maybe once a month if we're lucky.
