Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self. Cyril Connolly (1903 - 1974)

Childhood Defense

I'm a knife person. I've always loved knives and as a kid going to school, in my bag you could find three or four knives. And NOT small ones either; LONG bread knives, meat knives etc.

Oh, and when I'm going home from school? I took one out and walk with it in my hand. The men on the road knew not to play with me.
I lived in a place where you were likely to be held up, robbed, raped or harrassed on any level, whether you are an adult or child. Being a girl, made you even more vulnerable.

I was the dog with the bark, but I wasn't tested to bite :)

I saw this the other day and I just want it so bad! Look at all the cool features! Now that's a knife! Please gift me!

  1. I have seen things on your blog, here and there, including here, that make me wonder about your childhood. I bet you have a wonderful book inside of you. :)

  2. You really ARE my sister! LOL My real life sister and I have grown up hunting, fishing, and doing anything outdoorsy, so we're familiar with knives :)

My sister loves telling people she collects the 3 P's: Purses, perfume, and pocket knives. LOL
