Make It A Hurricane Before I Go Insane!

I really don't get it. And I do get it.

It's weird but I've always wondered why people in the movies and books never seem to drink water.
Really? Is it that hard to just have water or normal juice on ice?

It's a thing I guess.

But then again, I don't drink so I don't understand why it's taken in such a
delightful way.

I have tried drinking. Different kinds. I just can't get past the taste. Blech!

To each their own.

Do you like alcohol? Did you have to get past the taste barrier?

  1. I like some alcohol, but definitely not all and it changes over time for me too.

  2. I sure do :) Well, I did... then once I got pregnant I stopped drinking and never really did again... I tried, but we just did not get along... I wish I could enjoy wine from time to time, but I haven't found an affordable one I like...
    Its cheaper this way too!

  3. You know, I never really thought about it but you really DON'T see a lot of people in movies or books drinking water.

I personally do like the taste of alcohol; I'm a hardcore kinda girl when it comes to my booze, too. I hate anything fruity o.O

But I really don't drink a lot at all so I guess it's like the whole every once in a while it's a treat premise.

  4. I am a 99%-no drinker, if that makes sense. :)

  5. I'm sitting here thinking of movie scenes now...and I can see people going to their bars to pour a drink, rattling their ice cubes in their drinks, meeting at the public bar, lol. You're right...no visuals of Orange Juice or ice cold water moments are coming to mind. I think someone should write a book and start the opening scene with...she opened her bottle of ice cold water... hahaha I bet Hollywood would change the scene if rights were purchased. ;) All this talk of water is making me thirsty...

  6. I have a drink here or there but I definitely drink more water and soda than anything else :)
