Raw Memories of the Secret Soul

I was watching Secret Millionaire and enjoying some leftovers.  The show was so overwhelming that I started to cry and then I couldn't eat. You know how your throat just lock up and nothing taste good anymore.

The stories this week brought back so many memories, especially with the girl who was in so many foster homes and orphanages and was worried about where she'll be when her senior year of high school was over and she would be 18 years old, and couldn't be in the system anymore.

I remember when I had that same worry of where was I going to go when I turn 18. I didn't have any family or anywhere to go.  It brought it back so raw. The sobs ripped from me and my poor children wondering what is wrong with mommy and coming to give me hugs. Those darlings.

I must say that God provided and provided and I'm still amazed at how he cared when I was desolate.

This show ravages my emotions.

I wont eat while it's on again.

Do you watch the Secret Millionaire?

  2. I've never heard of it, Callie, but sounds like must-see tv. I'm so glad you were able to make a good life for yourself, and hope the girl on the show who reminded you so much of yourself is able to do the same.

  5. I completely understand when you can relate to something and it hits you really hard; I have the same reaction when I connect to something related to my illness.

I've seen the show a few times and it really IS a tear jerker sometimes!
