Blind Driving - Thankful Week 3

It is good to give thanks, especially for the little things, so that we remain content with life and have peace.

What are you thankful for most this week?

- I drove to the airport safely those two nights and back home. I am a nervous wreck to drive at night as my depth perception is way off and the headlights in my eyes just blinds me. But I had to pick dh up. I was this close to telling him to take a taxi home.
Then I was so nervous or just busy that I showed up on Thursday night instead of Friday night, hence the two trips!

- Husband is home safe with us. The home feels different when he is home. And I don't pray so much for him. And I don't worry so much for him. It's like now I know where he is. I can touch him. Give him a hug.

- Our vehicle is fixed and it didn't cost us an arm and a leg! The battery died. It's amazing how much we have to depend on a vehicle here in America. In my country, we walk almost everywhere! So it's a blessing to have a good running vehicle

- 10 hours of sleep Thursday night! I haven't had that in years! And I'm sick as a dog, but I woke up this morning bouncing off the walls! Whooo!

- My children making awesome students in school! What not to be proud of. Seems they drive me crazyinsane at home and be all nice and great outside. Hey, they gotta let it out somewhere right?

- I can cook. Lord help this family if I couldn't cook :)

- My son's soccer team made it to soccer tournament again! They only lost two games to the same time. They are bigger and better, but that's good practice and I hope we get to whip them in the tournament and win like we did last year against another team who was doing the same thing to us :) Sweet victory has never been given!

- OUR Team Won the Soccer Championships! WHOOOO! And yes we whipped that team that was acting all high and mighty! Those are the sweetest victories yet! Whooo!

I will be sharing my thankful thoughts during the month of November and December. The kids have a jar that they've been putting notes in throughout the year too and we'll read those at dinner. So these are basically my post it notes. Join in if you wish and we'll visit each other!

  1. I hope you're not sick anymore, something's def. going around. Hopefully everyone who's got it will be better by the holiday!

Congrats on the great students and the good soccer playing, hurrah!

I can cook...that doesn't mean I'm very good at it though, lol, so if I was I'd sure be thankful too. But I'm not, so I'm thankful that I'm lucky enough to have food TO cook. :)

    Happy Monday!

  2. Oh you do have many things to be thankful for!

Driving at night makes me nervous too, and to win the soccer Championship was a great joy!

Just stopping by to wish you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING...
