What veggies do you have the hardest time getting your kids to eat?

My kids love all the veggies except broccoli!
Even when it's hidden in the meat! Oh yes I cook it to hide :)

My kids always ate a variety of veggies, it was eggs that were off the table for them. I blame kindergarten "Green Eggs and Ham" for one of the egg casualties. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I love that book!
DeleteI think they like most veggies I like. The ones I don't like, I don't cook, so I don't really have this problem. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhen my stepdaughter was small the only veggies she would eat were green beans and mashed potatoes. Now she is older and eats most vegetables but still won't touch broccoli.
ReplyDeleteI always hid vegetables in other foods too.
My son likes broccoli if it's cut up really small (really really small). He hates carrots, cooked or raw.
ReplyDeleteI just saw my button as a feature on your sidebar, you are totally awesome :) Thank you, Colette!!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome and you are pretty cool yourself girl!
DeleteMerry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you too. :)
DeleteWell when my kids were little I believe they ate most everything that was put on their plate & if they didn't have it before I made them at least try it & of course I ate a bite first then they would. They mostly liked it except no onion for the longest time. Have a great weekend. Oh & they loved raw vegetables including potatoes especially when I made my infamous dip, but that's another story! lol
ReplyDeleteHi Colette ~~ You did well with your child. They can change when they grow up. Mine ate most anything while growing up.
ReplyDeleteNow: In order of oldest first
Mike~~Doesn't eat anything green or having more than 0.05 grams of fat--his wife eats normal
Mitch--Twin with Mike, eats a very low fat diet which includes turkey hot dogs--his wife is a vegetarian
Susie--Liquid diet of fruit and vegetable juices, home juiced--Husband eats more normal but loves his native Trinidadian dishes
Tim--Eats most anything in moderation~~Is not married
Karen--Eats low fat when possible--Husband eats most anything in moderation except no vegetables.
Where did they/we go wrong?
..
You did very well Jim.
DeleteIt's not about going wrong..it's just personal choices :)
Cauliflower and sweet potato are the ones that my kids don't care for, but they love broccoli and other greens. It's all depend too, now they grow up, they changed. The food that they like before, now they don't anymore, and vice versa.
ReplyDeleteMERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
