L'Oréal Paris Magic BB Cream - Flawless Bare Skin Finish

I get the feeling that my daughter will grow up and teach me how to do my own make up. I'm really not in the know, about how to get all dolled up on the face, and I gotta say I envy the ease with which some ladies do it.

I want it to be easy for me. I want to be able to teach my daughter. As a matter a fact, she is in ballet and in just a few weeks I'll have to do her make up for a special group photo. I had no idea they'd need make up! Aren't they too young? I rushed to the store to get her a few things, hoping to practice before the big day! At least I got the bun down!

You can then imagine how I welcome the L'Oréal Paris Magic BB Cream! If I can get it ALL in one tube, then by golly I'll kiss the maker! And it promises to prime, perfect, hydrate and correct skin!

So, this is me before I slabbed on the L'Oréal Paris Magic BB Cream.

And this is after! Noooooo! I think I either put too much on or they need to have a deeper brown for my skin, or it was the camera setting?
I basically, washed my face, dot and blend the cream on with my fingers, and went to pick up my kids. Maybe an hour or so later I took another photo. You can tell I'd have to do something around my eyes and other touch ups, but I still think the cream is too light for my skin tone.  However it sets in just a bit unlike when I first put it on.
Can you see a difference?
It always takes awhile to get used to new things, so I have no problem using this awhile and seeing how I take to it.

It certainly brings up the issue of me learning how to do eye make up so I can do a whole face coverage. This BB cream will work for me as a newbie learning about make up and shades.

I chose the deep for my skin tone. You can see the color choices below.

I don't use anything but sunscreen and foundation on my face. I just don't know how to blend it all in and honestly, it's hard to find my right shade in anything.  And I certainly do not have the budget to waste on sampling everything on the market!

So the face up there is what you get most of the time, unless it's church or something special. A friend introduced me to the primer once and it made a huge difference with the foundation.

I really love the idea of the L'Oréal Paris Magic BB Cream. I love the bare skin look! Breathable and free. Easy on and off!

  4. I tried Garnier's BB cream and it made my eyes water profusely. Did you have this issue with Loreal?

    1. Oh my yes! I didn't know that was what caused it. But as I wear it, then my eyes would water so bad!

  5. I'm trying it! So far I like it. It's replaced both my moisturizer and primer. The only negative so far is that since it is winter, if I do get a dry spot on my face, I do need extra moisturizer. But so far I like the product.

  6. I love BB creams. Like you, I found that the L'Oreal BB cream didn't work well for us chocolate sisters, but the Maybelline works fantastically! I wear it almost everyday, and I don't put on a moisturizer underneath because that makes the BB creams look too chalky. It's a perfect makeup addition for busy moms!

      It is so true.
I was going to try Maybelline, but now that Iman has one, then I'll have to try hers. I used Iman foundation.

  9. I tried the FAIR, because my skin is so light. It was far too light for me too! I looked GRAY! I think I need to try the "light" color for my skin tone. I just thought from the color sheet that it would have been too dark. But the fair is far too light. I think they may need to branch out and get more color variations.

  10. No I haven't. I like Loreal products, and need to find some type of night cream that isn't so oily. It looks nice and smooth on you.
