I was watching football (soccer) tonight between Jamaica and Mexico. It was a pretty good came. Seems Jamaica embarrassed the Mexican team with how well they played, as they weren't expected to be able to hold their own in such a big game. Haha. Don't you just love the underdogs? :D
The game was tied 0-0.
I have to say I was hoping for a score, but I am glad we got to be there and they played so well!
Sports can be a beautiful thing.
And despite all these years I've lived here in America, I only think of football (futbol) as it is in our country. I can't get connected to calling it soccer.
I really wish more sports were popular on the American front. Seems all the media care to share about is American handball (football). Anyway I'm glad a regular station was showing this competition instead of it being on specialize cable stations.
1. Do watch football (soccer)?
2. Did you play any sports in school?
And we are doing the Sillies of course :)

Humor is infectious. The sound of roaring laughter is far more contagious than any cough, sniffle, or sneeze. When laughter is shared, it binds people together and increases happiness and intimacy. Laughter also triggers healthy physical changes in the body. Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress. Best of all, this priceless medicine is fun, free, and easy to use

I don't watch football or soccer. I used to play netball when I was in school.
ReplyDeleteAhh yes I remember netball! That's all we played or cricket :)
DeleteI watch American Football-not much soccer at all--great post--very entertaining
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathleen
DeleteA score of 0-0, must have been exciting! I can see the challenge on both sides. I watched a hockey game once that was 0-0.
ReplyDeleteI used to watch soccer frequently, but not for a long time. I watched the super bowl this past weekend, which is a very unusual activity for me. I felt so guilty all week now because I took time out to just eat and veg...I am kind of paying for it now too. smiles.
I like soccer more than football, but I have a feeling this is changing...lol.
You need more soccer fever honey :)
DeleteDon't feel guilty to take time for yourself. It is good to rest.
:)
I have never been into sports. the only sport anyone around here is into is hockey.
ReplyDeleteThank you Chelsea :)
DeleteI just cannot get into sports. I have tried but I get bored! I love that poker chameleon, though! ;)
ReplyDeleteDifferent is good Jennifer! It makes our world interesting :)
DeleteI only like watching boxing! YUM! :) Oh, and I played basketball and did track in H.S.
ReplyDeleteI'll watch boxing some.
DeleteBut I've always wanted to do track. I was just too shy!
I was never really into sports, although I briefly played volleyball in junior high and then in college. Definitely not a natural, lol!
ReplyDeleteI understand girl.
DeleteI'm probably not a natural either, but it would have been nice to know :)
I only like going to college baseball games. Go Hogs!
ReplyDeleteShameless!
DeleteHaha. Just kidding.
I wouldn't mind the experience of going to one myself. I've only seen them on tv.
I watch football at Super Bowl Time and then soccer when my kids are playing. :) Sounds like it was a good game! :)
ReplyDeleteMy kids play soccer too...well my son does. I'm glad he does. It's like holding on to part of my culture. Something I actually know and care about. kwim.
DeleteI watch American football, it's probably my favorite sport to watch. However, while I don't religiously watch soccer, I do watch it during the Olympics and the World Cup (I ever attended World Cup '98 in Paris when I was a kid)
ReplyDeleteAhh I see you are well rounded! But what an experience! So neat!
DeleteI'm latin and grew up with soccer. Hubby loves football...my fave is basketball though. Love!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing :)
DeleteI was on a women's softball team for a few summers as an adult. In high school I played volley ball.
ReplyDeleteI still do not understand softball. I really need to learn more.
DeleteThanks for sharing.
I didn't play (I was never good at sports) but I do like to watch some sports (live or on tv). My husband is a fanatic and watches any and every sport...if there's not one on, it's not unknown for him to watch bowling or golf, lol. He IS good at sports...won a scholarship in fact, for baseball when he was back in high school. :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Talk about being involved! But at least he has a passion right?
DeleteI love Football...
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Kelly :)
DeleteI am a soccer fan, and I love watching competitions in all levels. All of my children played soccer so the love for this game has a very intense hold on me.
ReplyDeleteAs a physically disabled, I can't participate in any school activities. Have a great weekend!
YES! A fellow soccer lover!
DeleteAhh how life can sever us in a way from that which we love.
I'm sorry girl.
My daughter played soccer and she enjoyed watching it on the television but I don't watch much sports, only when my family has it on and I catch a few moments.
ReplyDeleteLoved the Graduation funny :)
With some sports, I prefer catching a few moments :)
DeleteThank you Lucy!
I watch American football, but not so much soccer. I am not athletically inclined, so pretty much anything that requires coordination, beyond running, is a no-go for me!
ReplyDeleteOur talents are all different mah love.
DeleteThank you for sharing :)
I watch futbol and only watch American football if it's the Superbowl. My kids play futbol on a travel team so I'm kinda partial to it. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid I rode horses, did gymnastics and played softball.
Happy Sharefest!!
