When a Mother Needs A Mother - Aloha TQT Sillies

I've been so sick these past few weeks. Not able to breathe out my nose at all. Makes eating almost impossible.
I haven't even been feeling hungry and will go all day without food.
Eating itself is uncomfortable as there seems to be a lump at my throat and eating anything seems to make it more swollen and burn! Ugh. So I drink lots of tea and eat bare minimum fruits.

Still doing everything by myself and these are the times when I do want to cry, but if I do cry, I'll feel worse because I can't breathe.

I guess I'll just wait and see. I have a doc appointment for the 27th. I tried to get one for earlier, but he is booked! Oy! I bet I'll be feeling just dandy on the 27!

Anyway, when you are sick do you have help from family, friends or Significant Other?
Do you live close to family or far away?

I hope y'all will have a relaxing weekend and Monday finds you ready for dancing with us in music!

Aloha :)
And we are doing the Sillies of course :)
Feed the Alligator

The old farmer had a large pond in the back, fixed up nicely with picnic tables, a barbecue pit, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees.  The pond was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming when it was built.
One evening, the old guy decided to go down to the pond and look it over. He hadn’t been there for a while.  He grabbed a five gallon bucket to bring back some fruit.
As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.  As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny dipping in his pond. As he approached, he made the women aware of his presence.
At once, they all went to the deep end.
One of the women shouted to him, “We’re not coming out until you leave.”
The old man frowned, “I did not come down here to watch you young ladies swim
naked, or to make you get out of the pond naked.”

Holding up the bucket, he said, “I’m here to feed the alligator.”

Laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert.
With so much power to heal and renew, the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for surmounting problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health.

  10. Both my mom and my hubby's parents are far off so I either have to push through or get the hubby to take off work. Glad you have someone to help you out!

  11. I live far away from them, so I'm on my own. (Well, the boyfriend would probably help.) :)

  12. We live quite far from other family, so it's just the boys and hubby here if I get sick. Thankfully, my oldest can take charge of the youngest if I need to stay in bed and hubby is at work.

  16. Aw, I'm sorry to hear you're not doing too good lately Sis :( I know how hard it is being sick and to top it all off, being a mom who has to take care of everything...I can only imagine o.O

I'm thankful and very lucky that when I do get sick, I have lots of people to offer love and care.

Hopefully the doctor will give you some answers when you go! Don't you just hate that most of them have a long waiting time when you NEED to get in?

    Feel better Callie!
