What are you reading today?
I'm reading something sizzling. I'm reading in a rather detached sort of way. I know it's because I'm reading something that should not be reveled in or committed to much thought, but I must say it's very intriguing nonetheless.
You want to be on the side of the good, but aren't sure what the side of the good is. It's like watching a movie and telling yourself, bah, they are going to win anyway even though the girl is seconds from being beheaded. You just know it's not going to happen.  Oh what is that? Is that simply caution or predictable?
Oh well. these are still a great read and I'll continue.

Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre
Prejudices, it is well known, are most difficult to eradicate from the heart whose soil has never been loosened or fertilised by education: they grow there, firm as weeds among stones.
