Blinded By The Light - 4Ms #Music Cover Songs

I admit that while I love music and wallow in it, I don't always know who sing what or when it was made and etc etc.  Just like I know nothing about cover songs so I had to google.

So here I'm sharing Bruce :)
The Bruce Springsteen song "Blinded by the Light" was covered byManfred Mann's Earth Band on the album "The Roaring Silence

And you can see the cover version below. I must admit I'm clueless as to what this song is about. Maybe someone will enlighten me?
Anyway, I prefer the cover below.

THEME by “Stevebethere, and he's come up with a totally awesome theme for THIS MONDAY, and that is "Cover Tunes" meaning bands/people who redid a song!”

  1. Well, actually sounds like he was a little high when he sang the song. Seriously, I don't know. LOL

    Great song though.

  3. I didn't know Bruce S. was the original... hahaha learn something new everyday I guess. I was listening to the words, and the only thing I could grab was that maybe the "Blinded by the light" means when the shot gun went off - it has a big light. That's all I gather, but I'm probably wrong, but great choice there girlfriend. HUGS YOU ROCK!

  8. Like all the other commenters, I had no clue Bruce was the original, and I had no clue there was a long version. Good choice :)
