Moving In The Spirit - VBS Day Two #Music

Day 1 in our VBS week went great, considering how first days with large amounts of kids usually turn out.

Even the parents seem to follow the rules this time around :)

Day 2, energy was still high and everything ran much more smoothly. My wee class was pretty good and even though I had one of those kids in my class who will make you count to 10 a lot, it was still a wonderful day.

And I can't help wondering who this child will grow up to be. I like his spunk and how very intelligent he is and I call upon that knowledge every time I needed him to begin making better choices.

Really awesome time today with the kiddies and in worship.

Craft: Laced up shoe to represent walking to the promise land.

Lesson:
His Word, Our Commitment (Joshua 1 & 3) On this day children will see how God showed the world His mighty power through the Israelites.  Even though they were a special group of people chosen by God, He expected them to show their commitment to Him and His Word.  Just as the Israelites were responsible to take the Word of God with them to the Promised Land, we as Christians should be committed to knowing Scripture so we have it with us wherever we go.

  1. You go, I can't think of a better teacher. :) What a blessing that you're being such a blessing (for you and for the kiddos).

I did Sunday School years ago and loved it, but I missed being able to focus on the service and eventually handed over the reigns.

    1. I have no idea how I got in there. I think God has a plan. I never think I'm good enough for it and so I just pray and ask God to help.

I do miss the sermons when I'm volunteering, but I can find it online and they rotate it so that I only have to do it one Sundays a month or in other cases as needed like VBS and such. :)

Thank you Rosey. I know you were a wonderful teacher also.
