Forgiveness: My Heart - 4Ms #Music

I supposed what is stuck in my mind and heart right now is forgiveness. My heart is breaking and burdened and yet I know I'm struggling with forgiveness. I do want to forgive, but how do you forgive the ongoing pain? Maybe if it would stop just a bit I could focus on forgiving, but it just goes on and on.

Never in a million years of my distrust of men, would I expect my own life to be like this, because with all things, I'm usually cautious. I'm no stranger to pain though and I know one day it will not hurt so bad.

So forgiveness is what I'm struggling with right now.

The theme is : Denise RUNDMT her choice is “In your playlist”. What’s your favorite song on repeat at the moment? & Mike's Place has chosen one hit wonders from 1965 & pick them from this listenkipedia.org/wiki/List_of_1960s_one-hit_wonders_in_the_United_States ----- so you can pick from these two!!!

  2. Prayer seeking a forgiving heart is the way to calm the storms. Hurt's sting has a death hold on a person's heart and it's only through the power of the Lord when we surrender ourselves to Him completely, saying, "Lord I can not bear this burden alone that I carry inside anymore. I release to you my pain. Fill me with your love so that I can forgive and be free once again." This is easier said than done, I know, but it's the first step. My prayers are with you that you will soon find the peace that you need. Very lovely song!

    1. That is what I'm doing Cathy and indeed it is such a mighty hard thing. I've come to realize how powerful and terrible the mind is and how hard to keep it discipline from seeking revenge or doing deceitful and wrong things to feel justified. Lord help me it is hard.

Thank you Cathy. I really do appreciate your prayers and all who pray for me. I need the strength.

  3. When I learned to forgive, it was extremely liberating for me.

Forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting...it just means you're letting go

    1. I can see that light. It's taking me a journey to get there, but I will. Just keep releasing each day.
      Thank you :)

  4. Okay, I haven't been away that long, so what am I missing here Callie!?! Is there something I can do sweetie? As far as forgiveness... I had anger in my heart for many a year, and until I could forgive myself first for holding such a bitter emotion I couldn't forgive anything else, but once I did I saw the light and He held my hand and walked with me, and when I was tired there was only one set of foot prints, but we still held hands! Hugs my friend I'm always here for ya to hold hands.

      Thank you for sharing Marie.
Indeed I'm trying to allow for the only footprints to be his as he carries me through this very trying time in my life.

  5. I know when I forgive, I feel free again. However I will qualify that by saying that I won't keep forgiving someone for the same things over and over. I'll cut them out of my life.

    1. Thank you for sharing Liz.
The cutting out part is where I haven't reached as yet. I'm trying to put my heart back together and in doing so forgive and then see what other steps I can take.

I absolutely understand what you mean though and why not.

  6. What a moving song. You do know that you can forgive, move on, and leave those people behind. I have had to do this in my life.

    1. Thank you Danielle.
I'm trying. It takes steps to get enough strength to move forward.
I feel rather weak within and around.

  10. You are definitely in my thoughts a lot. I hope you are well. I sense that you haven't been the same for a while. I also sense that things are even worse this time than the previous times when you were hurt in the years that I've known you.

You don't have to publish this.
I am praying for you to have the strength to do the right things. But remember, sometimes we don't know what is right, we just give it our best shot and hope for the best. Knowing if you made the right choice or not takes going past the bridge, no matter how scary. Take your time in making the decision, once you walk all the way across the bridge, there is no turning back. Don't let anyone hurt you or your children without a good reason. Much love, Amanda

    1. It is so.
      And thank you.
You speak wisely. Indeed sometimes you do not know even what to do and without support you are left to sink or float while wondering if it's best to be dead.
