The kids are little bookworms. Their father and I love to read and always have books and I've been reading to them since they were in the womb, so they come out with a thirst for reading. I guess it runs in the family :)
And did I mention how much we are in love with our library? :)
This week they are reading a ton, but here are just a few:
1. Bullying (Tough Topics)
Read this title to learn about what bullying is, who it affects, and how it can be prevented. Get the facts about why some children are bullies and how to avoid being bullied. Bullying can be scary. No one deserves to be bullied.
2. Science Chapters: Your 206 Bones, 32 Teeth,: and Other Body Math

3. Just Look 'n Learn Spanish Picture Dictionary
The Just Look n Learn Spanish Picture Dictionary gives children a first look at a new language by defining and illustrating 1,500 of the most basic words in Spanish. Each entry begins with a headword given in English, followed by its translation and example sentences in Spanish. Children will have fun while learning another language!
4. Lungs: Your Respiratory System
Take a deep breath and then let it out. Did you feel your chest rise and fall? That is actually your lungs filling with oxygen and then pushing carbon dioxide back out when you exhale. Without your lungs and your entire respiratory system, the rest of your body wouldn't receive the oxygen you need to survive. To give your body the oxygen it needs, you breathe twenty times every minute. You breathe more than twenty thousand times each and every day. Acclaimed science writer Seymour Simon has teamed up with the Smithsonian Institution to explore the important journey that air takes in and out of your lungs.
5. The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes
Meet Beatrice Bottomwell: a nine-year-old girl who has never (not once!) made a mistake. She never forgets her math homework, she never wears mismatched socks, and she ALWAYS wins the yearly talent show at school. In fact, Beatrice holds the record of perfection in her hometown, where she is known as The Girl Who Never Makes Mistakes. Life for Beatrice is sailing along pretty smoothly until she does the unthinkable–she makes her first mistake. And in a very public way!
6. Oh , Brother... Oh, Sister! - A sister's Guide To Getting Along

7. Bible Stories For Little Angels
Combining respect for the biblical originals with a warm-hearted and original child's-eye view of the events, these 10 classic Bible stories are presented lovingly alongside endearing and brightly colored illustrations. The story of creation is included, as well as Noah’s Ark; God’s promise to Abraham; Moses in the basket; the birth of Jesus; and many others. The result is a highly aesthetic read that compels young readers to joyfully engage in the stories of the Bible.
8. I'd Know You Anywhere My Love
There are things about you quite unlike any other.
Things always known by your father or mother.
So if you decide to be different one day,
no worries… I’d know you anyway.
Every child is special and unique, but every child also loves to dream of being something different. In I'd Know You Anywhere, My Love, bestselling author and artist Nancy Tillman has created another heartfelt masterpiece celebrating the joys of imagination, and the comfort of always knowing that "you are loved."
We still have hundreds of books here. They sometimes read two at a time.
