Happy Thanksgiving With Healthy Squashing

I bought a small turkey. I figured I'd try my hand at this Thanksgiving dinner  with my children. I don't know what I'm doing. I hope it will all turn out well.
Happy Thanksgiving !!!!!
I do know that there will be lots of Spinach, Sweet Potatoes and Butternut Squash involved. These food items are top notch with the nutrients they provide.

I have $15 left from my budget and I might take them out for ice cream or keep my $$ and use the ice cream in our freezer. I'm leaning to staying home with dessert with movies :)

Happy Thanksgiving y'all!
Love visiting and hanging with y'all!

What a title! I think my marriage would agree to a fix.

Come enjoy The Marriage Fix tour with us!

By Sandra Edwards

Lecie de Laurent is dying to cut the apron strings and strike out on her own. With the house and the money she's inherited from Edouard Renault, she finally has her chance without financial repercussions from Papa. California is an intoxicating place for the sheltered, high society girl from France, and she's not ready to leave when her father insists she return home.

Lecie's father, Maurice de Laurent is a powerful man who will stop at nothing to get what he wants--just ask her brothers, Julian and Andre. When Maurice threatens to have Lecie deported (thinking she'll come home), Lecie retaliates in true de Laurent fashion. Nick Matthews desperately needs cash, after his fiancée leaves him deeply in debt the day before their wedding.

On the verge of losing his popular restaurant, Nick decides to seek out an investor to help pay off the debt. The answer to both their problems just might be wrapped up in The Marriage Fix.

Lancôme DreamTone - Share Your #bareselfie

I'm prone to dark spots all over. I am trying to come to terms with them, but to be honest, I want to look at my face and not feel like a spotted calf!
I know why they come. I'm an adult with teenage acne. Made worse with my monthly visits and my indiscipline in drinking enough water.

The spots triumph!

I'm so glad that I get the chance to use the Lancome DreamTone. My skin, especially face and neck needs all the help it can get. I'm learning about all this make up, facial cleansing products and all the fun stuff that comes with maintaining healthy skin and beauty, so it's imperative to find great products that actually work.
I am that girl who never used any products or make up. But I'm getting older and I feel like I need to have a little dewy again, or just a little shine. So I'm learning the tips to give my face that extra comeliness.

Week one was used for close inspection of my face. I think I should have done a daily documentation by photos.
I used it under my regular SPF moisturizer and even without the moisturizer, it doesn't make my face feel dry.  When you put it on, you can see a sort of glow on your skin. Maybe it's something built into the product.  There is no sticky residue, it's very light and smooth and I like it that way. It makes it easier for me to wear foundation if I'm going out.

I really love the smell. It's very luxurious. I want that smell in a lotion or perfume! It does not make me sneeze and that's great since I'm smell sensitive because of my allergies.

I do notice the spots on my face less pronounced. I will have to continue usage for the next couple of weeks to see all the benefits. I'll definitely be posting a follow up with this product.

The bottle design is genius! I thought of something in James Bond when I finally figured out how it worked :) I thought I'd have to take the cap off, but nope, you just twist and the top comes up, you pump out and twist and the top goes back in to close. Seriously cool design!

At $98 per bottle, this would make a nice gift for a girlfriend, mom or sister.

Dry Weather Vehicle - Thankful - 4Ms #Music

The week before it was really cold; 50s, 40s, 30s.
The light in my vehicle came on to check the tire pressure. I was not alarmed. Just figured it was something to do.

The week after, it was hot 80s, 70s, 60s. After all, this is LA.
The tire pressure light went off for the whole week. Okay then.

This week it's cold. 50s, 40s, 30s. The light is back on again :)

In my country we say: I have a dry weather vehicle :) But I am thankful that I have this very good vehicle that works well.

I suppose I should let the owner know.

I have pets. I never thought I'd have pets. And if I did, I really wanted a dog. I love dogs. I'm a dog person.

Turns out I have two kittens and goldfish! None of my choices, but I'm the one taking care of them as if I was the one who chose them :)

When we first got the kittens I did look into the neater feeder, but it was too expensive. I hope I can get one sometime though.

Welcome to the Neater Feeder Giveaway
Hosted by Miss Frugal Mommy and Sponsored by Neater Feeder

About The Neater Feeder

The Neater Feeder is designed with protective walls to contain splashes and spills from an inadvertent kick or an excited pet. This revolutionary system holds spilled food in an upper reservoir while spilled water flows down a gentle slope through a patent-pending filtering system.

The spilled water drains into a lower reservoir that can safely contain more than an entire bowl of spilled water, keeping it off the floor until you are ready to dispose of it. Keeping the spilled food in the upper reservoir, off the floor, not only saves you work, but also keeps it clean for reuse.

The Only Mess Proof Feeder
The Neater Feeder is the only feeding system on the market that manages the mess by containing and separating spilled food from spilled water!

Protects Your Floors
The Neater Feeder protects floors and walls from the stains, mold and damage that can occur from spilled water and food.

Saves Time
No more cleaning up every time your pet’s bowl is bumped, or when your over-eager eater enjoys a meal.

Comfortable for Your Pet
The Neater Feeder provides a healthier eating environment for your pet. First, it keeps their dining area neat, clean, and more sanitary. It also deters pests from getting to your pet’s food or water and reduces the spills and mess that attract them in the first place.

Further, the Neater Feeder for dogs is elevated, improving comfort, improving digestion, and reducing neck and joint strain.

Looks Great in Any Home

With its attractive colors and stylish design, the Neater Feeder for dogs and cats will soon become the new piece of furniture you can’t live without.

You can discover a first hand experience in Miss Frugal Mommy's review!

The Homework Situation

I had noticed that my son was coming home everyday from third grade without homework. Every evening I'd ask for his homework and he said, he had none. Okay then.

I kept asking and then one evening he said, that he does his homework at school. Hmm okay then.

I'm the kind of mother who wants to be involved in all aspects of my kids education. I want to know what they are learning, if they are on track, what they are struggling with and so on and so forth.

It concerned me greatly that I wasn't seeing anything that my son was learning. I'd ask him, and of course he would be ever so vague.

So I decided I'd grit my teeth and wait for Parent Teachers Conference that was coming up.

After all I do not want to rush to judgement.

Conference came and I spoke with the teacher about my concerns in regards to his homework and other issues.

She said, yes she gives them homework everyday. So I said, I wish to see it in my home everyday.

Two weeks later, still no homework. One of those week I was sick to death. You might remember it last week.

This week I'm feeling sprightly and I said to my son on Tuesday. Do ensure that when you set foot back in my home, that you have homework ready for me to see and sign. That includes reading charts and everything!

Guess who showed up Tuesday evening with homework? Aha! You got that right. There was also a note from the teacher that homework will no longer be done in school and must be taken home and signed by parents. Apparently this note was given to all the other students to take home as well.
Well knock the ants!

Yes I desire to see and know what my son is learning because I expect that he should be doing his best and excelling in every way he can.
Homework came home every night except on Fridays in Kgn, 1st and 2nd grades. I see no different for 3rd grade which I know should be even more serious with school work.

Now he'll need to begin writing things down and being more responsible that he doesn't forget his homework folder or other important information he needs to get said homework done.

Education is important and I will not play around with the matter when it comes to my children and their future.

Do you have to sign your children homework?
Do you take time to be involved in the homework sessions with your child?

Speak Life - 4Ms #Music

I went to church today. I've been absent for a long time due to illness, sports outings and all the other things life throws up.

The band played good music.

I didn't leave my seat to greet anyone.

This lady invited me to sit with her. I told her where I wished to sit, she then decided to come with me :)
After church I left her before she dived in for gossip.

The message was very good: If God be for us, Who can be against us. If God gave his only son for us, what then wont he give us through him?
What can separate us from God? Romans 8:31-39

I sang. I enjoyed singing.
They had a choir today...I might join it.

My kids are already in the kids choir.

God is good.
