I've been in love with this song since I was a child. It has not lost it's value. Oh to have a love like that :)
Which reminds me of something my daughter said the other day.
Daughter to son: Why do I have to always be walking around the house looking for a chair at dinner time!! Ugh
Son: I don't know. I didn't move your chair.
Me thinking: Chances are she moved the chair as she always does when she holds her impromptu classrooms around the house.
Daughter to son: Come on D, where is my chair! Why you move it!?
Son: I did not move your chair.
She stomped off to go find a chair. Came back and kept going.
Daughter to son: You did move my chair! I bet you are going to do this to your wife when you grow up! Or your girlfriend!
Son: I will not! Ew!
Me: Shaking my head, hiding giggles.
I do not get the thoughts of my six year old daughter. She is a one girl machine alright.

Kids are so funny. Did your daughter find her chair? Our three were always hiding stuff from the other. It got kinda crazy at times. Lovely song. Great fun to dance with you this morning!
ReplyDeleteThat they are. We must enjoy their innocence.
DeleteShe usually finds a chair, but tis the same argument each time about a missing chair :)
Thank you Cathy.
Nice song first time hearing it, LOL @ your daughter kids are hilarious at times heheh!
ReplyDeleteThank you Steve :)
Deletelol it's funny that she was the one who probably move it. Your son's learning early in life that you just let those girls talk... h ahahahhahahaha
ReplyDelete:)
My daughter loves that song you've got showcased, Colette. In fact, she loves several of McGraw's songs.
Yes I suppose he sometimes wont argue back but at other times I want to scratch my ears from the squabbles :)

DeleteLove hearing about the antics of your kids. I can just envision you son actually moving that chair for his ever loving for one thing or another. Happy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteThank you Danielle.
DeleteIt was all her this time I think, but sometimes he is the source of her pain too. Must be a siblings thing :)
That is so cute that they are thinking ahead like that!
ReplyDeleteI think it comes from my little talks about how you treat a loved one in relationships. Helping and him being a gentleman and all that :)
DeleteThanks Judy.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad I could. It is a very good song. :)
DeleteThank you.
Gees, that song made my eyes burn. Such a sweet love song. It would be cute to watch a brother and sister that close in age behave. The kids in my daughter's school already start having boys only party.
ReplyDeleteThat is true.
DeleteThank you Amanda :)
That is one of my favourite songs too!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad I could share it wiht you again.
DeleteI've loved that song since it first came out, too.....it's such a tear-jerker. I think we ALL want (and deserve) love like that. What I have learned from the past few years and my divorce is that if I can't find what I'm looking for, I won't force myself to accept less than I deserve. It was a hard lesson to learn, but I hope it sunk in.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well, Callie!
Thank you for sharing this deep Kim.
DeleteIt is truly a lesson to keep tight to the heart.
I'm holding strong...kinda.
Wow! Now this post is like a blast to the past! I remember being a little kid and listening to that song a lot.
ReplyDeleteAhh yea it's a very old song but can't lose it's beat at all :)
DeleteThanks for visiting.
That is so cute! It is so funny what our kids pick up and repeat. We almost need 24/7 surveillance to pick up all the awesome things they do and say.
ReplyDeleteI know right!
