Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self. Cyril Connolly (1903 - 1974)

Praises In Dreams

This morning I woke up with a praise song. It wasn't an ear worm and since I've been to worship and sung many other songs, I've already forgotten it.

I love waking up like that and being reminded to pray.

Today's message was good. Pastor spoke about how Jesus showed up after the three days in the midst of two men walking down the street talking about him. He asked them questions. They did not recognize him.
When he got home with them to eat and broke bread with them, their eyes were finally open and they realize it was Jesus and POOF! Just like that, he disappeared.

Our pastor had fun with that disappearing part. He actually makes it fun to sit and listen to him share God's word.

He was saying: "Okay did we just lose our minds? Check under the table! Behind the curtains. And they are just standing there watching the bread vibrate on the table. haha.

Anyway, the men realize that while they were talking and walking home with Jesus, their hearts were burned by his words.

That was all from Luke 24.

So no matter who you are, when you are in God's presence, his word will churn up your heart to action.

And this one song the worship team sang:
I've loved it since I heard it!

Eternal God, unchanging, mysterious and unknown
Your boundless love unfailing, in grace and mercy shown
Bright seraphim in ceaseless flight around Your glorious throne
They raise their voices day and night in praise to You alone

Hallelujah! Glory be to our great God!
Hallelujah! Glory be to our great God!

Lord, we are weak and frail, helpless in the storm
Surround us with Your angels, hold us in Your arms
Our cold and ruthless enemy, his pleasure is our harm
Rise up, oh Lord, and he will flee before our Sovereign God

Let every creature in the sea and every flying bird
Let every mountain, every field and valley of the earth
Let all the moons and all the stars in all the universe
Sing praises to the living God, who rules them by His word

Then it was home to just hang out with the family. (It was supposed to be to the field for soccer game, but it rained all night / morning and it was cancelled). The kids wanted to watch  a movie. I promptly fell asleep with exhaustion :)
Woke up and we did indeed watch the same movie because while the kids were watching or trying to watch desperately. It wouldn't work :)

Dinner was late. I felt bad. Why should I feel bad, when spending time with loves is much more fun and investing?

Maybe they'll have a settled heart knowing they had a good day and that's what matters.

Hope you had a good Sunday...weekend!
