Virtue Makes You Beautiful - Broken Hallelujah

It's going to be one of those months. Music will help.

I found this cool song and wanted to share with you on our freebie theme.

Also do check out this article about the blogger who almost got trafficked in Sochi! Good thing she had her head on straight!
Soon there will be a tv show about it! You know they are starving for ideas these days!

I can barely stand right now
Everything is crashing down
And I wonder where You are
I try to find the words to pray
I don't always know what to say
But You're the one who can hear my heart

Even though I don't know what your plan is
I know You're making beauty from these ashes

I've seen joy and I've seen pain
On my knees, I call Your name
Here's my broken hallelujah
With nothing left to hold onto
I raise these empty hands to You
Here's my broken hallelujah

You know the things that have brought me here
You know the story of every tear
‘Cause You've been here from the very start

When all is taken away
Don't let my heart be changed
Let me always sing hallelujah
When I feel afraid
Don't let my hope be erased
Let me always sing hallelujah

Hallelujah
I will always sing
Here's my broken hallelujah

  1. Virtue Makes You Beautiful is wonderful encouragement for any woman of any age, but especially young women who see themselves through society's eyes all too often. Oh, your second song pick is truly wonderful. It's so hard to find praise amidst a broken spirit. What a beautiful reminder! Thanks for sharing these freebie new-to-me songs with me! {{{hugs}}}

    1. I hope more young people get to see/hear it Cathy. I wish our young people could grow up with courage inside to enjoy themselves as God's beautiful beings.

  8. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17

When I'm going through a difficult stretch I remember the scripture above. I do not have to dwell in the hard, because as he is, so am I in this world. And so are you in this world. :)

I like the song. The original is a favorite of my daughter, and as such a favorite of her little brother. ;) I bet those young men had a blast recording it. :)

  9. That first video is amazing! I'm not the biggest fan of the original artists who sing it, but I do quite enjoy the homemade video those young gentleman did :)

You're right Big Sis, music will always help you get through the rough times as well as the good ones. It's just a matter of finding a song and using it!

    Hang in there <3

  11. Both of these are new to me, but I did want to tell you first of all thanks for stopping by, and second of all an acoustic guitar is what you should start out with than for to your neighborhood music shop and by a chart of guitar chords. That's the way I got started, and I practiced those chords over & over. Then one day I put the radio on, and I played with the greats. It's really not that hard. Good luck!
