Memorial Business - And Busy We Were - #Music

The past two weeks have been absolutely crazy! It's like life is trying to get back at me for taking a week off!!!

Anyway I"m late and well I just woke up! So did the kids. Our bodies really needed that rest. So thankful it's a holiday.

Happy Memorial Day to y'all.

This is one of the songs that played at my daughters dance revue performance last night.

I knew a man called him Sandy Kane
Few folks even knew his name
But a hero was he
Left a boy, came back a man
Still many just don't understand
About the reasons we are free

I can't forget the look in his eyes
Or the tears he cries
As he said these words to me

All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all

Now Sandy Kane is no longer here
But his words are oh so clear
As they echo through out our land
For all his friends who gave us all
Who stood the ground and took the fall
To help their fellow man

Love your country and live with pride
And don't forget those who died America can't you see

All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all

And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall, yes recall
Some gave all

Some gave all

  1. that's gotta be one of the best songs for this day. We think of all those who gave all on this day too - even though it's not a holiday in Canada. We ALL are free because of ALL who gave their lives.

But I do like the dance song too. I needed a bit of dance beat today too :)

  2. The picture and the Billy Ray Cyrus lyrics are very touching. It's good to reflect/remember/appreciate.

The Sean Paul song is a good one (got me jumping around in my seat). :) I have heard it, but not for awhile.

    1. I hadn't heard Sean in a long while too. Was quite a performance at the theatre Sunday night.

  3. What beautiful song lyrics ~ all gave some and some gave all! I'm not only humbled by the great sacrifice of those who serve our country, but am forever indebted to those who gave their lives. God bless our men/women in the armed forces! And, God bless the USA!
