Camp In The City Day Uno - Coming Through In Style

School let out for Summer on May 30 and by June 2nd the kids had camp lined up.

It was/is a blessing to be able to have a spot in this wonderful opportunity for them!

My daughter loves school and kept wondering if camp was going to interfere with school days. I keep having to remind her that school's out! :)

Our first day of camp, we drove in and was greeted with the staffers shouting, jumping, screaming, singing and welcoming us to camp. It was AMAZING! It felt like a celebrity driving in.

When we saw them, we rolled down our windows quickly. I don't think some parents realize and so didn't put their windows down. How could you miss such thoughtfulness and fun! :)

This is how we are greeted when we roll in:

For both kids I've already allowed them to select five and more outfits so they can just get up and get dressed in the mornings. I don't want the distractions of crying about not knowing what to wear.

Camp requested that they have a swimsuit, towel and change of clothing, along with a pen and their bible in their ruck sack each day.

We met our the camp staff and they are very charming and makes you want to smile, even though you are already smiling.
Not to mention their awesome cool camp names!

The kids enjoyed Monday and they are so excited to get back again! I'm so happy to seem them stimulated in a such wonderfully positive environment!

To be honest I wish I was the kid in that camp right now!

Looking forward to the rest of the week! I hear it all second hand, but I hear it :)

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Col 3:12

Did you attend a camp as a child? Did your kids? What was the best memory?

Rakaphoshi and Mooloolaba out!

  3. Sounds like a lot of fun! I never went to camp as a kid and the only camp my kids attend is Vacation Bible School at church. Summer vacation here doesn't start until next week. Have a terrific day!

  5. I used to love going to camps when I was a kid. We had overnight camps as well as day camps. I did them both. I loved it so much, I started hosting them as an adult. I haven't done one in almost four years, but I'm itching to do it again soon. How long does this camp run for?
