I've heard Elvis throughout my childhood, but only have my faves like footloose and so forth, but today I'll share another fave that he has covered.
It's a testy and exhausting week for me, so the best thing is to start each day with prayer and music.
So glad I beat out the rain and got my lawn mowed. Hard work and exercise should make me happy and hurting from sweet ache, but like I said, tis a testy week indeed.

Elvis came on the radio somewhere not long ago (I don't remember where, I remember it was out, maybe the grocery store?). I told my son, 'hey that's Elvis!' He said, 'Who's Elvis?' hahaha
ReplyDeleteLOL That is too funny Rosey!
DeleteI supposed my kids would say the same thing :)
It's been awhile since I listened to anything by Elvis, thanks. You must be a big fan to think of him, although he is a Rock 'n Roll legend...so okay. You got me Movin' this Monday! I hope you have a fabulous week!!
ReplyDeleteHaha not a big fan at all, but I was trying to find this song that I liked by him and found this one.
DeleteI like footloose though.
Thanks Belle :)

You simply cannot go wrong with The King!!
ReplyDeleteloved it

DeleteThe Rock n' Roll Legends starts with Elvis Presley. The King of Rock N' Roll! Great choice my friend. I figured many would have him today! Have a rocktastic week! Hugs. Sending you an email one day this week for our 200th celebration, but I will say now please put our button for the occasion in your side-bar for advertising thank you.
ReplyDeleteWeird I thought I had it here somewhere.
DeleteI picked Elvis, too! After all, he is the KING of Rock & Roll, not to mention a Legend. ;) Have a great week, Callie! :)
ReplyDeleteWalk This Way because I Can’t Dance in my Blue Suede Shoes with Jack & Diane
Rock on Stacy!
DeleteThank you :)
I love Elvis! I'm so glad you were able to beat the rain. We had rain here for about ten days in a row, and it just really cleared up last Friday. I love the rain and storms, but everything in moderation - NOT all at once, day after day.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the rain. Just spread it out. We don't like the flooding part at all!
DeleteBut yes I love rain.
Thanks Kim :)
No hop of rock and roll icons could be complete without Elvis, who wouldn't have been the same if he didn't allow Uncle Bernard to dress him. My father-in-law taught him how to tie a tie. Are you impressed now?

That is something isn't it!
DeleteI can imagine all the stories!
Thanks for sharing :)
Oh, yeah! You can't think rock legends without thinking about the King. Great choice!
ReplyDeleteOoh sweet!
DeleteGlad I rocked the king then :D
Elvis is truly a legend. I have his picture on a guitar that hangs besides my desk, such a brilliant artist.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a keeper!
DeleteThank you Becca :)
My mom was a huge fan of Elvis. I was told that she had his pictures up on his walls. He died before I was born, but because of my mom's love for him, I grew up listening to his music.
ReplyDeleteIndeed we are influenced by our parents and even so with music :)
