Today was warm. HOT sometimes, but it was just wonderful to feel the beautiful sun warming up my bones. I didn't even murmur when the vehicle got too hot while I was sitting in it doing my budget. Thank God for sun!
The kids played outside, oh yes indeed it was a beautiful day! And I love the slow calm weekend too.
Hope y'all had a good weekend.
And to introduce you to this really great song I found! Must I saw how much I love the voice, the instruments and the words!
Midnight
He is staring at the bills and rubbing
Red eyes
Ain't adding up to nothing
But some hard times
He's feeling like a failure at life
Head down
Part of him is tempted just to
Skip town
But deep inside he knows enough to
Cry out
God I'm tired of fighting this fight
I'm running low on faith
But I won't run away
Tonight I'm gonna fix my eyes
On the only Hope who satisfies, my heart
You are the One I'm running to
Everything that's good and right and true
Jesus, I'm coming after who
You are, You are
The One I'm running to
Late shift
She's working hard providing
For her three kids
She hasn't seen her husband cause
Their stretched thin
Nobody told her it would be this hard
There's no end in sight, but she says
No compromise
Tonight I'm gonna fix my eyes
On the only Hope who satisfies, my heart
You are the One I'm running to
Everything that's good and right and true
Jesus, I'm coming after who
You are, You are
The One I'm running to
So much I don't understand
In the middle of this circumstance
But I know my life is in Your hands
Tonight I'm gonna fix my eyes
On the only Hope that satisfies, my heart
You are, You are
Everything that's good and right and true
Jesus, I'm coming after who
You are, you are
The One I'm running to
Aloha!

Nice music today and of course Cheryl Crow is a winner.
ReplyDeleteThank you Naila :)
DeleteI am jealous It's freezing cold here in London arrgh!
ReplyDeleteI really liked The One I'm Running To I like Sheryl Crow not heard this track before :-)
Have a warmtastic week :-)
Thank you Steve :)
DeleteSeems London is usually cold.
It's been odd here in Nebraska - it was warm this week. Warm meaning in the 50s, but usually this time of year it's -2.
ReplyDeleteI like how you put the lyrics on your post. That first song probably hits home with a lot of people.
I of course love Sheryl Crow.

That is so true about how this song hits home.
DeleteThank you Alissa.
Sheryl crow is awesome but I have to say your first song choice by 7th is really good. I was totally impressed with them must go check out more of their music.
ReplyDeleteThey are really good!
DeleteThank you Becca!
Cheryl Crow has been around for a long time and she's really down to earth. I personally like her very much. The first song was new for me, but personally it rocked! Yes, my friend you have ROCKED THE HOUSE! WOO HOO Have a rockin' week.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Dolly :)
DeleteI like that you post the lyrics! I love the sun too...sometimes it gets so gray for so long in the winter that I forget just how much I love it, until the sun finally comes back out (months later). We're lucky this year, we're still seeing sun here and there.
ReplyDeleteSeems it's indeed a warm winter eh :)
Deletekinda.
Thank you Rosey.
"The One I'm Running To" is a great song. Thanks for introducing it to me! I really like the lyrics and beat too!
ReplyDeleteAnd Sheryl Crow! Why didn't I think of that one! So easy! I used to sing along to her songs all the time! LOL
Thank you Janice!
DeleteGlad you enjoyed it.
Great picks. Sheryl Crow used to sunbathe on the front yard of her sorority house, which was across the street from my dorm. At the time, she was a no name as was the other person who went to MIZZOU when I was there. Someone tried to set her up with him. Brad Pitt.

It's interesting the people we cross paths with eh.
DeleteThanks for sharing with me Joyce :)
Running Low on Faith was my anthem oh so many times while raising a family. Times really were hard, but like this song goes, Tonight I'm gonna fix my eyes
ReplyDeleteOn the only Hope who satisfies, my heart, cause this is the only thing that got me through those difficult, low points. Oh yeah, Soak Up the Sun, baby! Yesterday was a beautifully gorgeous sunny day and it didn't feel like winter at all. Today's forecast sounds like repeat of yesterday, so you won't hear a peep out of me. I'm lovin' this weather and I'll take it when I can get it because it's liable to change on a dime. Looking at the extended forecast Monday looks like it's gonna be a wicked cold day. Well...thanks for the boogie time! Have a good week!
Oh noooo I don't want to look at the weather Cathy! I want it to remain warm and sunny! My bones love it!
DeleteThanks Cathy!
I love Sheryl Crow, nice songs!
ReplyDeleteSaludos!
Thank you Leovi :)
DeleteI feel like the first song, for real. Well, and the second one, too. Would love to soak up some sun right about now!
ReplyDeleteAhh yes, definitely want some sun over here!
DeleteI know exactly what you mean. It's nice to have those slow days and just breathe. Glad you had a slow and enjoyable weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Amanda.
DeleteWish this weekend was looking like that one
Broxton keeps wishing for snow, I really wish it would, so that he could go and play in it!
ReplyDeleteMy son too!
DeleteIt would be nice to let them have this to play in.
That Sheryl Crow song brings back the sweetest memories. Love that song.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tami.
DeleteGlad I found one you love :)
