Reaching For A Higher Love From Day One - #Music For Life

It seems I'm falling behind on all things blogging. I want to get everything done and be on time, but my computer is ill and goes from slow to nothing it seems. Ever since it crashed and died, and a new hard drive  or old hard drive was loaded onto it, it's just being pathetic.

I could cry, but that's how computers are right?

I worked hard to get the one I have and since I'm not working anymore and with bills and all that, it's hard to even want to mention to my hubs about getting a new one.

Maybe some other time, but it's discouraging having to use this thing.

Maybe I should just restart more often eh.

Oh well.

Today's Theme: Music that picks you up when you're feeling down
This song always makes me dance and sing loud....of course many others too, but just sharing these.

And I like this one below because many times I want to start over and in some ways I do start over.

Well, I wish I had a short term memory
Wish the only thing my eyes could see
Was the future burning bright right in front of me
But I can't stop looking back

Yeah, I wish I was a perfect picture of
Somebody who's never not good enough
I try to measure up but I mess it up
And I wish I wasn't like that

I wish I wasn't wishing anymore
Wish I could remember that nobody's keeping score
I'm tired of throwing pennies in a well
I gotta do something
Here goes nothin'

It's day one of the rest of my life
It's day one of the best of my life
I'm marching on to the beat of a brand new drum
Yeah, here I come
The future has begun
Day one

Well, every single day Your grace reminds me
That my best days are not behind me
Wherever my yesterday may find me
Well, I don't have to stay there

See my hourglass is upside down
My someday soon is here and now
The clock is tickin'
And I'm so sick and tired of missing out

It's day one
And here comes the sun

Every morning, every morning
Every morning, mercy's new
Every morning, every morning
Every morning, I will fix my eyes on You
Every morning, every morning
Every morning, mercy's new
Every morning, every morning
Sun's coming up, the beginning has begun

Starting over, I'm starting over
Starting over, I'm starting over, starting now
I'm starting over
Starting over, I'm starting over
Starting over
Starting over, starting now
I'm starting over

  1. I'm sorry about your computer issues, Callie! I can relate - seems mine keeps biting the dust every week lately - and it's not all that old, either! Boo! And yes, when it doubt reboot! It's early, but keep an eye out for any super duper special deals when they start doing the back to school stuff (you know, around the 4th of July) - and of course Black Friday and Cyber Monday have been beneficial whenever I've needed to replace anything computer-related electronic-wise. I'll also keep an eye out for you just in case.

Love your song choices! Thanks for the dance! :)

  2. Great choices my lovely... As far as your computer maybe it would be cheaper to get it fixed! Well, keep entering those give-aways for laptops too! That can be your back up. :) I shall pray for you that the good Lord we'll see fit to put some of His light into your computer, and I'm sure it will be all better! HUGS :)

  4. I just had to get a new router because mine wouldn't work. It's pretty hard to be successful without Internet access, huh? Oh, and you totally just made my day by quoting Dumbledore. Did you hear about JK's newest book adventure?

And I haven't yet read any of the JK Rowling books :)

      Thanks Amanda.

  5. I love that song! But now it's stuck in my head, so thanks. hehe My computer crashed and I was so upset. I guess there's always an end to a computer's lifecycle, but it's still so annoying to try to find a replacement, especially when it can be rather costly. I hope you find a computer that you like!

  7. Yes, I remember this beautiful song of Steve Winwood!

  8. Oh, honey, I totally get you where computers are concerned. They can be a huge headache when it begins to fill up or wear down. One thing I found that's helped is to have an external hard drive to keep a majority of my pictures (big space user). Also, it seems our Apple computers don't seem as bad about dragging like our Windows based computers after years of use. Perhaps, when you're ready to get a new computer then you might want to look at Apple and think about getting an external hard drive to store big, not-frequently used files on. Steve Winwood totally rocks and I'm loving the lyrics to this second new-to-me tune ~ totally uplifting. And, your quote is so right on it. There are too many people choosing the easier route instead of the right path. Have a funtastic day and thanks for the music, my friend!

    1. Oh I definitely have an external hard drive. And will see if the apple computers are in my budget range.

So glad you enjoyed being here Cathy.
      Thank you.

  10. I'm sorry to hear about your computer troubles. I'd say wipe it back to factory settings, but since you already swapped out the hard drive, you most likely already did that? You can also look up your operating system and "speed tweaks." There are a ton of things you can shut off to speed it up.

    1. Thank you Nikki,
My dear husband already did this tweaking and shut offs. It's speedy for a few minutes and then dead crawl.
