Between yesterday evening and this morning I read A stolen Life from Jaycee Lee Dugard. I stopped reading around 1am last night/this morning because I had reached the part when she was about to meet her mother and it was overwhelming for me.
I remember when I first met my mother and all the questions I had about her. I didn't remember her as a child and so it was knowing a brand new mother.
I couldn't believe that God gave me the gift of knowing her. I've prayed most of my life to know her and so it was a gift.
It was February of 2004. A Friday. I remember talking on the phone with my sister too, whom I've never met. It was a voice of echo.
Since then my mother and I have developed a good relationship. Many things have happend since then, but I hope we'll continue to have a good relationship.

Have you read her book?
Will you read the book? It's heartwrenching and still so much hope and seeing the fortitude of human spirit.
A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard.
In the summer of 1991 I was a normal kid. I did normal things. I had friends and a mother who loved me. I was just like you. Until the day my life was stolen.
For eighteen years I was a prisoner. I was an object for someone to use and abuse.
For eighteen years I was not allowed to speak my own name. I became a mother and was forced to be a sister. For eighteen years I survived an impossible situation.
On August 26, 2009, I took my name back. My name is Jaycee Lee Dugard. I don’t think of myself as a victim. I survived.
A Stolen Life is my story—in my own words, in my own way, exactly as I remember it.

I"m late with the music, but I"m here and will visit all of you.
And with that I want to find strength in the broken places.
I trust You to heal
I trust You to save
So I'll trust You enough
To get out of the way
To come where I am
To silence my doubt
So I'll forfeit my plans
And let Yours play out
You are strong
In the broken places
I'm carried in Your arms
You are strong
In the broken places
There's healing in these scars
So I'll keep coming back
To what You said first
Beyond what I see
Beyond how it hurts
Whatever You ask God
No matter how hard
The place of my breaking is
Right where You are
You are strong
In the broken places
I'm carried in Your arms
You are strong
In the broken places
There's healing in these scars
You redeem You restore
You make things better than before
You reconcile You resurrect
You speak life over death [x3]
You are strong
In the broken places
I'm carried in Your arms
You are strong
In the broken places
There's healing in these scars
Aloha
