If you visit me regularly at home or on my blog, you'll find that I'm always playing music. Music is so important to me. It helps me through my anxieties, depression, being a mom, feeling alone and all the other daily battles we struggle through as peoples.
When I first heard this song; Exhale, I realize, that's all I've been focusing on doing or I'll simply implode on myself.
But of course, you have to inhale to exhale, except that I tend to hold my breath and things just begin to get worse after that.
This song is most beautiful. It's okay to not be okay.
Let someone know.
I love Plumb's voice and her music. It's so real to the journeys in our lives. I've listened to her so many times and she is on my list of favorites.
If you visit my blog often, you'll see me sharing her music. It's so very uplifting!
Here is my favorite song so far on her new album: Exhale
It's hard to say favorite because I love so many other songs of hers too! But yes, this new one is just wide open to my heart.

Its okay
To not be okay
This is a safe place
This is a safe place
Don't be afraid
Don't be ashamed
There's still hope here
There's still hope
No matter what you've done
Or who you are
Everyone is welcome
In His arms
Chorus
Just let go
Let His love wrap around you
And hold you close
Get lost in the surrender
Breathe it in, until your heart breaks
And exhale, exhale
Spirit come
Tear down the walls
That only you can
That only you can
Reconcile, this heart to yours
Right now God, right now
Oh God
We breathe in your grace
We breathe in your grace
And exhale
Oh God
We do not exist for us
But to share your grace and love
And exhale
If you haven't listened to any of her music. Please do. You'll definitely find something you love from her album!

About PLUMB:
Tiffany Arbuckle Lee, better known by her stage name Plumb, is a songwriter, recording artist, performer and author. Plumb has sold more than 500,000 albums and over two million singles worldwide, co-penned songs for numerous other artists, including Michelle Branch, Mandisa, Mandy Moore, Jaci Velasquez, and Natalie Grant, and had music placed in many films and television shows.Originally signed as a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) recording artist in 1997, Plumb is now known as well as or better in alternative rock, electronic dance music, and for the use of her music in film and television than she is in the CCM market.
About the album:
EXHALE, the seventh studio album from acclaimed multi-genre singer, songwriter and author PLUMB, expresses a new focus and vision. After the runaway success of NEED YOU NOW (the album, title track and book), which coincided with her own moving story of brokenness and ultimately healing, Exhale brims with worshipful songs of gratitude and hope.
The defining concept of EXHALE was born from a sermon at Plumb’s home church, wherein her pastor Pete Wilson expressed the notion that the Church doesn’t exist for itself. Rather, believers come to church to breathe in grace and truth, be changed, and then go out and “exhale” that hope into their surrounding community.
“That idea of exhaling hope hit me right away and I couldn’t get to the Notes section on my phone fast enough. I started writing the chorus of Exhale right then and there,” explains Plumb. “I have been made new by the ultimate hope, and I want to share and exhale that hope in every way I can.”
On The Album:
1. Exhale
2. Lord I'm Ready Now
3. Smoke
4. Ressurrection
5. Great Is Our God
6. My True Love
7. Broken Places
8. Faithful
9. Champion
10 Sleep Will Be Sweet
11. When You Walk Into The Room
12. Restored

Music is a huge part of my life, too. I have never heard of her, but the lyrics to this song really hit home.
ReplyDeleteThey really do.
DeleteThank you and glad to make the introduction!
A couple of weeks ago we had a guest pastor and he talked about inhaling in church and exhaling out in the world. Thanks for this reminder.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! The same thing Plumb's pastor had spoke about too!!
DeleteOw, I love finding new artists to listen to! I'll definitely have to check PLUMB out, I really enjoyed this song <3
ReplyDeleteSo glad you did.
DeleteHer music is so real!
This title reminds me of the message of the movie "Inside Out" All of our feelings are valid and we are not going to be in a constant state of joy or happiness. I love artists that are real and not always putting on a front in their lyrics and or their PR stunts.
ReplyDeleteVery well said Joann! Thank you.
DeleteThanks for sharing! I've never heard her music before but will definitely check it out.

DeleteThank you Rosey.
DeleteI'm not particularly religious, but it is a beautiful song. I struggle with depression and anxiety too. So often we hear that we have to keep it to ourselves to not upset others with our problems. It's nice to hear that it's okay to not be okay.
ReplyDeleteThat is true Thalia.
DeleteThank you for sharing. I hope you have the help you need.

ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful Angie!
DeleteI'm glad you find a new kind of music to help with relaxing and thought.
I am not familiar with the music of Plumb, but I have seen other bloggers singing her praises. I like different genres of music: R&B, rap, alternative, classic, pop…and when I need to feel pumped for a workout or pulling an all-nighter with a writing project – it's 80s music.
ReplyDeleteI love the different genres too may girl.
DeleteI hope you do check out her music too, it's really cool!
I have never heard of Plumb before. I usually listen to super sad depressing music when I'm down, lol.
